My daughter ordered one and loved it so much that I ordered four more to give as gifts to our wine loving friends. Everyone was so impressed and they all use them all the time!! The size is such that they can carry them in their purse and when they find a wine they like they can just write it down. Same applies if they find one they hate! The book appears to be well made and should hold up for a long time.

Need a little cheat sheet for wine? Know you want to explore new wines but not sure how? This little guide book makes it nice and easy. Simple descriptions, enough fun trivia to enjoy, and helpful suggestions to experiment.

I know there are alot of of books and journels available and all will suit your need in one form or another. this one is perfect because I can slip it into my purse along with the journel and take it to the store or vineyard with me and have it handy for pairings or recall what I have tried, what I liked, ect.

It is a good little book to give the basics on wine. Other reviews on the spiral bound book indicated that you could take notes on wines tried out. On the kindle version this is not available, but otherwise its it is handy if paired with a notebook application, where you can take notes. I have done this when going to wine tasting, easier than carrying a pen & paper.

I bought this book over a year ago and it assisted me with a better understanding of the terminology regarding wines and what to look for in buying any wine. I recommended it to all my friends and I purchased the book as a gift this holiday. I

I had seen this book in a bookstore. Found it cheaper at amazon.com :) I got exactly what I was expecting.

I was browsing through this little book, happily taking in all of its wine information, when I came across this little gem on page 94. "Beaujolais Nouveau is the fun party wine!....By French law, this wine must be released on the third Thursday in November--just in time for Thanksgiving--and drunk no earlier than 12:01 A.M. on that date."

While it is true that our Thanksgiving came from Europeans who were continuing the tradition of a harvest festival, Thanksgiving as we know it is a U.S. and Canadian holiday. How did this get by the book's editors. Now I wonder about the other information in the book.
