Thank goodness that I brought this book. It was so helpful!

I always research places when I travel and plan so carefully. This book nearly didn't make it into my suitcase. I took it last minute. Next to the Museum Pass that I bought for Parisian museums, this book was perfect. I would place it in my pocketbook and check it for maps, places of interest, restaurants, and what I can see in the area. It divided Paris into the districts so I could see everything that I wanted in each district. While I was on the Left Bank near Museum of Orsay, I went to the Fish restaurant mentioned nearby. It was one of the best restauarants and so reasonable. I had sea bass cooked with spices and eggplant. The size of the book makes it convenient and easy to have. The other travel books just didn't make it. Even Lonely Planet wasn't as helpful. I used Travel Advisor for going to places and making my reservations. We stayed in three different areas of Paris which I would not recommend again. Hotel Sanguine and Hotel D'Orsay were my favorites. Hotel Gramont was excellent but very expensive. The French were so friendly and warm toward us. I am giving this book five starts because of how much I used it. I would still recommend going online and checking out what others have to say about Paris.
