One of my favorite children's books, and loved by my truck-crazy son. When read out loud, this book is pure music and perfect for bedtime. To make a great book even better, the illustrations are gorgeous. This book is sweet and sentimental without being syrupy, and entertains everyone in our family. If you haven't read this book, I hope you will.

I have been reading this to my three year old who is now saying perka perka pop pop stop every time we pull into our home, he likes to ad lib a bit with it...What is great is that it is not something he reads all the time as it is at Grandma's house. Everytime we're done he smiles and says, "now that's a good book!", rolls over and goes to sleep. I am certain that anyone buying this book will be very happy with it.

My son LOVES this book! It has a wonderful sing song rhythem and a beautiful sentimental story. This is a must read and well worth the effort to find this out of print book.
