Book Description

March 21, 2009
There is no shortage of beauty books on the market. Usually written by celebrities or celebrity beauty consultants, they often fail to take into account the health issues that so dramatically impact our looks. Written by a board-certified OB-GYN with a long-term aesthetic practice, The Little Book of Beauty is written from a broad perspective, that of a doctor who particularly understands the health issues women face and how those issues impact their looks and the overall aging process. Sharing his knowledge and making practical, easily implemented suggestions for building beauty from a foundation of physical and emotional well-being, P. Scott Ricke, M.D. has truly written a thinking woman s guide to health and beauty. The Little Book of Beauty provides: Steps we can take as individuals to build the healthy foundation upon which beauty rests Information about products and procedures that will and will not improve our looks and why Safety tips for choosing the right products, the right doctors, and the right procedures Knowledge about cutting-edge, non-invasive cosmetic procedures that really work.

5.0 out of 5 stars The thinking woman's guide, October 21, 2009
This review is from: The Little Book of Beauty: The Thinking Woman's Guide to Health and Beauty (Paperback)
Especially good, down to earth, discussion of weight loss and how to achieve it. JUST THE FACTS, Mam! Also like the explanation of the difference between fat and cellulite. The honesty about the amount of time that various injectables will last was refreshing. I heartily recommend this book to you.
