5.0 out of 5 stars The thinking woman's guide, October 21, 2009
This review is from: The Little Book of Beauty: The Thinking Woman's Guide to Health and Beauty (Paperback)
Especially good, down to earth, discussion of weight loss and how to achieve it. JUST THE FACTS, Mam! Also like the explanation of the difference between fat and cellulite. The honesty about the amount of time that various injectables will last was refreshing. I heartily recommend this book to you.

Dr. Ricke really is honest about what works and what does work on your trip to the cosmetic palace. This is an honest look at the what you need to know before you spend your hard earned money. Easy to read and most importantly, understand. I thank Dr. Ricke for writing a simple book for those of us that think fat can be disolved with one shot. Nope, sorry to say but you will need to buy the book to know why not. EXCELLENT READ.

With all of the products and procedures out there, Dr. Ricke cuts to the chase about what works and what doesn't. More than just outward appearances though, he also addresses health, hormones, relationships and other truly essential components of beauty which come from within. This wonderful book is both practical and encouraging - I recommend it to anyone who wants to be their best self!

5.0 out of 5 stars Little book/ Big subject, June 9, 2009
This review is from: The Little Book of Beauty: The Thinking Woman's Guide to Health and Beauty (Paperback)
This little book of beauty is full of helpful information. It is written in a down-to-earth style that educates and entertains the reader. I especially like Dr. Ricke's philosophy of not fighting aging - just make the most of what we have to maintain beauty and health. Very interesting chapters about what happens to skin as we age and descriptions of all the available treatments. This is a great read for anyone interested in the aging process and its effect on our looks.
