I live in Yorkshire in England where I have worked for many years as a therapist.

I get many of my book ideas while out walking my two dogs Scruffy and Stanley.

Before my life as a therapist I was a research chemist, I had a life change after having my children. I grew up in Toronto and at Christmas time miss the snow, but not the cold!

You may be asking yourself, "Does the world need another diet book?" The answer is probably no, but we do need more books like this.

THE LITTLE BOOK OF DIET HELP gets to the heart of all overeating - the way you think and feel about yourself and food. Author Dr. Kimberly Willis has created an easy to read book it in a way that the average person can understand instantly. This is not so much a book to be read as it is a book to be used. It combines common sense with practical techniques such as NLP, self-hypnosis, meridian tapping, yoga and other easy-to-use ways to change the way you feel internally.

Some of the techniques include:
- Mood Booster
- Tapping out Negative Beliefs
- Morning Energy Boost
- Breathing for Calm
- Craving Blaster
- Turning Off Emotional Hunger
- Boosting Your Energy

I really loved the simplicity of the book - to the point without wasted filler. You can turn to any place in the book and get a thoughtful message by reading a few lines or pages. It also teaches you how stress and foods effect your body chemistry, and what to do about it. There are great tips on understanding you own food rules, how to take care of your liver and how to achieve your goals.

Dr. Willis avoids using guilt and blame,and gently nudges you toward understanding why you overeat and how to change. This is the perfect compliment to any diet or healthy eating program because it addresses the mental and emotional side of eating.

Dr. Willis has provided a treasure of very useful tools and techniques that can be helpful for both the dieter and the helping professional. As a hypnotherapist, I love that I can flip to a page and find something to give my clients as a "home fun" assignment. The information is practical, easy to understand and relevant. Highly recommended!

Glad I checked this out from the library rather than buying it. Good scientific information from time to time but far more information about pressure points. Interesting at a glance but the average person probably isn't going to be tapping themselves all over to lose weight. Seems very unrealistic to me. I did enjoy the fun layout of the book and the blue accents. Just didn't enjoy the content.
