About the Author
Carol Martin is a nationally recognized expert and consultant on cosmetic surgery, who has appeared on CNN, ET, The Insider, Discovery and other shows to offer tips and insider secrets to safe surgery. It’s advice that comes from a dozen surgeries of her own, interviews with dozens of surgeons, and feedback from 1,000 clients. At 50, she posed in the same style orange lycra Speedo she modeled at 20, and passes along her experience to clients of The Informed Choice, the cosmetic surgery consulting firm she started in 1995 to help others achieve great surgery. The first of several books she plans to write about each major procedure.

It's about time that all women and men had the opportunity to read this first hand account, from an expert, who knows the ins-and-outs of the world of plastic surgery. If only everyone had this personalized dialogue with someone who cared, they would realize how to go about choosing the appropriate doctor and method of lipo.
Thank you, Miss Martin, for doing the research that too many of us neglect to do in making such an important decision. I like your balanced approach and perspective on having lipo; living with lipo and becoming a truly informed patient. You've done justice to your field and every adult should take the time to read this book and spread the word.

Very Informative book! It would be helpful not only for liposuction, but as a surgery reference in general. Martin is brilliant and we should all be very grateful that she is sharing her wealth of knowledge and experience with us. Can't wait for the next little book of ....!

Wow! Carol Martin has stepped up to the plate and hit a home run! Her "soup-to-nuts" approach has left no questions unanswered. Carol's refreshing candidness and acute attention to detail strips the myth and mystery from cosmetic surgery in general, and liposuction in particular. The text is both humorous and comprehensively informative. Sprinkled with anecdotes, pictures and checklists, Carol's book leaves no doubt she is the authority she claims to be. This venture left me anxiously awaiting an encore. Can "Little Books" about face lifts and breast surgeries be far behind?
