Book Description

April 2004
This boxed set offers comprehensive guides to the four major drugs that appear heavily in the media and society, maintaining their appeal despite draconian laws and government propaganda. These portraits of cannabis, cocaine, Ecstasy, and heroin are packed with objective relevant facts and supported with technical information and quotes from both experts and users. Each book covers the culture of the drug's use, the international drug trade devoted to it, its physical and psychological effects on health, and its history, providing frank and unbiased information about these widely used substances. This is the perfect educational pack for students and parents alike; for those who use, or are considering using; or anyone who prefers fact to fancy in this still controversial area.

This review is from: The Little Box of Drugs: Unbiased and Unadulterated Commentary on the Drugs Debate (Paperback)
i think this book left out a lot of the more interesting side of drugs and focused too much on economy and health effects. i woulda liked to hear more about trips/experiences and culture of drugs instead of deep info on how they are produced and how they affect economy and stuff. i think for this book to be in the genre of "pop culture" it should really focus more on the cultural and mental experience of a varied group of users instead of the hard numbers.
