Fun gift for the little pirate.
Argh, fun and cheap on Amazon (used and new). Girl or boy pirate will like this one.

Pirate fun in a box
This was a gift for my 7 yr old daughter. She liked the whole kit. I liked the booklet showing how to tie some knots. The included posters have what I believe to be historic pirates, but the included info is not very indepth. Perhaps it will encourage families to research these historic figures and learn a bit more of history.

I purchased this for a course to teach young elementary students about Pirates and Mermaids. The 1st through first graders loved digging through the treasure chest shaped box for all the items. Even though most of the printed material was on a reading level too high for them they enjoyed having the stories of the pirates read to them. Most wanted to play with the flag, eye patch, bandana etc. I appreciated how all the items could be packed back up into the box for storage when we were finished. This would be a great gift idea for those "Pirate-mad" kids who would like to pretend to be a swashbuckler for a bit.
