Both my Son and Daughter love it!!,

This review is from: Little Boys Bible Storybook for Fathers and Sons (Hardcover)
The wording of the Bible Stories followed by "Becoming a Man of God"- to apply the story is excellent. Both my son, age 4, and daughter, age 2, enjoy this book tremendously. We try to read this to our son every day. We all enjoy reading this book- it is a bit on the humorous side with the illustrations.

My nephew and his father spent much quality time reading the bible stories together. This book is a wonderful gift to share God's word and to bring a father and son together.

We purchased this and the Little Boy's Book of Prayers when our son was a toddler. He loved carrying this book around and called it, "My Bible". The stories are short and engaging, perfect for wiggily little ones. Several years later we had a baby girl and right away I sought out the Little Girls Bible Storybook for Daughters and Mothers. She loves hers as well. It has bright pictures that she loves to look at. Hardcover and sturdy.

Not true to the bible,
This review is from: Little Boys Bible Storybook for Fathers and Sons (Hardcover)
My son got this as a gift. It is very cutsie. My biggest problem with it is it bends some of the stories to make them fit the author's moral. For instance, Cain is shown only making a sacrifice because he sees Abel doing it, and thinks Abel is a goody two shoes. Fail. Then he picks out the worst of his crop and tramples it when god doesn't want it. Fail. All of that's garbage. And who wants to hear Abraham say to his son, sorry, I love you but I love god more? My son was appalled. And the notes for parents after the story of the fall of Eden says to tell your kid they're made in god's image, which means they know right from wrong. Fail. But Adam and Eve didn't know right from wrong when they were created! Not until they ate the fruit and could see right from wrong! Duh! So also they were punished for disobedience before they even knew disobeying god was evil!
