I came across this by accident and it grabbed me from the first track. Rees Shad's music has a bluesy-folk feel and comes across clear and honest. The mostly up-tempo sound is consistent throughout, although it certainly slows a bit for Sigh Away, and Give It Away. Yet they fit in well with the sound on the bouncier tracks. However, Man of the Sea, the third slow track, felt out of place. In light of the rest of this marvelous CD, it's a tiny thing. I'd never heard of Shad before but will certainly remember him from now on. This is a keeper!

I like this a lot. The music a sweet, original quality. It can be mellow as well as quite peppy.
