About the Author
When Linda Bergendahl-Pauling was growing up in Moline, Illinois she never imagined that she would be the co-founder of an organization that would grant wishes to more than 85,000 children and families throughout the world and touch the hearts of millions more.
Feburary 4, 1977, when Chris was diagnosed with leukemia, changed her life forever. She was only 29 years old when Chris's wish was granted. From a mother' tears and after the loss of her only child, blossomed the world's larest wish granting organization.
Linda worked part-time and attended Scottsdale Community College to support herself. In 1980 her education started to pay off when she was offered a job at Motorola in Scottsdale. Now her childhood love of writing has come to the fore with the publication of Little Bubble Gum Trooper.
Today Linda is happily married and enjoying her family and seven grandchildren that came as part of "the package" when she married Eugene Pauling. Linda still travels the world as a volunteer for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, participating in fund-raisers, public speaking and wish granting. Her hobbies include gardening, landscaping, cooking and remodeling the home she and her husband share in Scottsdale. This is Linda's first book, written from the heart. This book will make those who read it laugh, make them cry and inspire everyone. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of Little Bubble Gum Trooper will be donated to MAW for wishes around the world.
