A good and accurate account,

As far as I know it's the only full and detailed account of Charley Ross's abduction. This fascinating case is sadly all but forgotten today; I wish they would bring this book back into print so more people could know Charley's story.
While the historian in me wishes Zierold had footnoted his sources, Little Charley Ross seems to be an accurate and unbiased book, with many details I had not previously known and a centerfold of interesting pictures. My only wish is that he could have included his own theory as to Charley's fate, perhaps in the afterwood. However, this is a minor quibble and the book is well worth reading without it. Highly recommended, if you can get a copy. |
