The only downside to this book is that it is short, about 16 pages of story. And we definitely want more :) It is a wonderful, simple tale about the Christmas tree Little Critter and Sister will have for Christmas. Everyone comes up with ideas how to decorate the tree so that it can look festive. Their ideas are all home-made decorations which I think is wonderful. It can inspire parents to do some crafts from scratch without pre-made items. There are gingerbread men, popcorn string garlands, paper snowflakes, bows to be made :) Finally a book that takes commercialism away from Christmas.

Mercer Mayer, as always, never fails to keep a child's, nor an adult - these are the best books! My children loved these books, now my grand-daughter loves these books - these are great for holding a child's attention and teaching them "good lessons."
