I got this for my daughter as one of her new books for the holiday season. She gets one or two new ones each year. She is a HUGE fan of Mercer Mayer and so this was a natural choice. The story is short enough to let her sit through the whole thing, and is engaging, and very sweet.


Little Critter's family is celebrating Christmas - they are busy doing many of the traditional things that families do at Christmas - Baking cookies together, decorating the tree, writing a letter to Santa, and going shopping for Christmas presents.

It is a lift-the-flap book - which engages the child reader as they need to lift the flap on each page to finish out the action on each 2 page spread. The flaps are pretty sturdy too - which is good if your child is a little too rough on their books!

"Merry Christmas, Little Critter!" is lift-the-flap fun from the popular, enduring "Little Critter" series.

In this book, Little Critter and his family go sledding, write letters to Santa, string up Christmas lights, sing Christmas carols and more. Every other page has a flap to lift, revealing a hidden surprise and/or continuing the story.

Little Critter is as cute, charming and amusing as ever. Little Critter and sister enjoy getting Christmas gifts, but also have fun spending time with family.

The Little Critter has always been a favorite with me. I remember reading them with my 27 year old daughter when she was young. My husband just found her books down the basement and brought them up for me. There was "Just for You" and "Me and My Day." I am delighted to have another Little Critter book. I bought this one for a youth book club I am starting. Of course we will read this book in December. I'm sure the children will enjoy the book as much as my daughter enjoyed them. I also look forward to reading this book to my grand child. I highly recommend the Little Critter books and I plan to buy more of them.

My grandbabies are 5 and 3. They love the Little Critters books and so do their parents. The books are written to help children deal with everyday situations and their parents love the "quiet time" it gives the family.

These books have been read over and over to my Granddaughters. They are now 12, 10, and 7, and read them to me. Our very favorite is Grandma and Me. Thank you for such great books.

My kids just love the "Little Critter" series. So buying this book was a no brainer. I think my kids made me read this book to them just about every day untill christmas (and still after!). All in all you cant go wrong with any book by Mercer Mayer, or Little Critter series. My parents read them to me as a child and now I am reading them to mine. So simple and sweet, even adults enjoy the message.

This series is great! My daughter and we love it, so we keep getting new ones... This book seems to be newer, printer on thick, glossy paper. It does make the book more durable but it just does not feel the same, it lost it's authenticity.
