5.0 out of 5 stars This is a very creative and fun book to read to my son!
My 2-year old son received this book as a gift, and we thought it was one of the better books we've read. Not only are the "googly" eyes on the front of the book hilarious, the poem inside - in the spirit of "Ten Little Monkeys" - is very creative. My son loves me to read it to him, and I've found that I enjoy it too. I found it somewhat...

3.0 out of 5 stars very useful
This book was very interactive for many students, especially those students who are visual learners. This book is a counting book that can be used to introduce to students the concept of counting backwards. It also contains many scientific dinosaur names and this can lead into a lesson over dinosaurs and their habitats.

I found it somewhat educational for myself as well because I learned about new dinosaurs and did not have to make up names for the ones that my son likes! We also have fun looking at the pictures of the dinosaurs at the back of the book and looking at my son's toy dinosaurs to see which ones they look like. And, now he is almost 3 and knows the names of some of the dinosaurs just by looking at a picture of one. This book made it fun for him to learn them. Bravo to a well written, very creative, educational children's book!

My 3 yr old and 5 yr old boys love this book. Not only is it chosen for story time but it keeps my 3 yr. old very content while I'm driving my other 3 children to their various destinations all week. I highly recommend this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great entertainer in the car while traveling!, May 31, 1999

My 2 and 5 year old made a trip with friends to the beach and they brought along this book. We loved it and wanted one for ourselves. The rolly eyes are very funny to watch. The words were challenging for me to read and fun to listen to when someone else read it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ten Little Dinosaurs, November 13, 2000

This is the best little book I have picked up in a long time. It is one of those books that will be handed up to a Gramma from those precious innocent hands to be read over and over again. The googling rolling eyes on the cover to the perfect rhyming words,it will undoubtedly be your childs favorite!

One note, though. You really can't lie down and give this one a good read; the eyes roll back so the whites are showing.
We love the illustrations and the rhymes on this book. It's a really cute and fairly inventive storyline. I don't really like that sometimes the dinosaurs are called names. "No more nut-brains da dada da da..." isn't really such a great thing to teach to kids. I recognize that it's just a loooooooose translation of the scientific name (which is cleverly worked into the rhyme).
We have fun reading this book. I like to barely jiggle the book while reading it so the eyes jump all over but you can still read the words.
In all, it's a fun series with a clever bit of artistry worked in.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best, Most Fun Dinosaur Book to Share, July 22, 1998
My Husband & I bought this book for our Children, Ages 2 & 4. They have torn it up with so much enjoyment of reading it, I am buying another. The Eyeballs are great with the illustrations, the Introduction of big words with the rhyming makes learning fun! Every child should have at least one

5.0 out of 5 stars This book is hilarious..., August 14, 2006
I love the detail and thought that went into all the pictures. The story rhymes very well. As for the name "nut brain" is really referring to some dinosaurs having brains that were the size of walnuts. I noticed a lot of soda bottles (no brands), was just trying to picture the dinosaurs as the children they see out and about. What your child eats and drinks really is a model of what you eat/drink or that you are a sucker and make like different meals for everybody at your table or tv for that matter, haha. The only soda in my home is Henry Weinhardts root beer and its been there for a long, long time. Every adult who has seen this book I've given to my 6 month old daughter says this ones going to delight her for a long, long time.

While Christmas shopping one year with my Mother-in-law we came across this book and I said she HAD to buy this for one of her grandchildren. She finally broke down and lo-and-behold...I got it for Christmas! This is the cutest "10 Little" book I have ever seen and the googly eyes are a riot! My 4 month old daughter loves to grab at the eyes and mommy's embellishment of such lines as "No more sharp-tooths munching on a mooth." This is a great book if you enjoy reading and want to share that with your kids (of any age!)

This book is a must have. My son received this book as a gift at 5 months and he was intriged from the minute we began reading it. First, the googly eyes captured his attention, now he loves to listen to us read with a huge smile on his face. He'll drop everything and coming crawling/walking over to us. We read this book every night and morning - sometimes twice in a row. Unlike other books, he never gets tired of it.
