It is hard to find music that both young kids and adults can enjoy together, especially if you're trying to have them hear something educational. This has been by far our favorite music to play in the car. My 4 year old always asks for it. My 2 year sings along when we play this without being prompted. I enjoy listening to it to!!!!!

We don't have anyone in our family who speaks or studies Chinese, but my daughter (2 1/2) stumbled on a video of these kids singing on Youtube and loved it, so I bought the CD. The songs are really enjoyable to listen to, and are upbeat but at the same time good for bedtime listening. We all hum along to it (and my daughter insists now that she speaks Chinese).

Ok, first of all we are big Shanghai Restoration Project and David Liang fans, having purchased most of the SRP catalog in digital format over the years. When we saw this new CD announced we actually pre-ordered the physical disc from Amazon for our newborn son to not have to worry about streaming and digital files for the nursery. My wife is Chinese and she immediately recognized all of the songs that are on the disc from her own childhood in China, and they are well produced by David Liang with his signature mash-up sort of style if you can call it that? Think a modern, electronic-influenced take on classic Chinese children's songs. The fact that they are all sung by a children's choir make them great to just have playing in the background around the house and the musical aesthetics are pleasing to us adults who may get bored hearing children's music over and over and over again (welcome to parenthood...). We have some other Chinese children's music but as I said, this is probably the only one I can listen to and not get bored of. The style may not be for everyone as you need to appreciate the remix culture and electronic music, but definitely give the sample tracks a listen and I'm sure you will love them.

A great set of Chinese Children's songs, my wife a native on Nanjing, and my twin boys love these children's classics updated with style and fun. Catchy and great.

I bought this CD for my three kids and they absolutely love it. They request this CD in the car, want it played in their room, and stand in front of the CD player and dance to it. The two older ones are currently in a Mandarin immersion program and recognize a number of the songs and will sing along with it. The songs are catchy, and the production value is high. I've searched for a number of Chinese kids' CDs from the library or ordering online, and this is by far our favorite.

We have liked this CD so far, after listening to it about three times. The arrangements are good and make it fun again to hear some of the traditional/standard Chinese songs for children that we have found on other recordings. We had gotten tired of the other versions and felt they sounded too similar to each other or had the same high-pitched, slightly out-of-tune kids' voices. Having the Pinyin included so we can practice singing with the songs, as well as providing translations and names of composers and performers, add a lot to the value of the CD. Hope to see more CDs from SRP, as well as catch a performance somewhere.

My almost-6-year-old son and I both love this collection of songs! I must confess at first I was not too impressed with the diction and pronunciation, but then I thought, "they're kids!!!" My son doesn't care that the pronunciation isn't clear! The tunes are catchy, and there are a few familiar songs for me too. We've been listening to it almost everyday since we received it in the mail, and enough for my son to memorize what numbers are his favorite songs - #4 and #8 - and he'd sing along phonetically! My personal favorite is #9 - very very catchy! It's a GREAT BUY!

Love this album. I'm an adult Chinese language learner, but the songs are catchy and really helpful for learning vocabulary. Additionally, these are legitimate Chinese children songs (not just some Westerner's songs made up with Chinese lyrics). I met several Chinese people while traveling recently and they all knew the songs when I sang them and laughed and asked where I learned them. A fun way to connect with people from another culture!

Great songs that are easy to sing with clear lyrics booklet with pin yin and English translations. (We attended a Little Dragon Tales promo event in NYC and even got our CD signed.) Our 11 month old loves to listen to this CD and we know the catchy melodies will really help the Chinese stick. Hopefully they'll make another CD soon - we love this CD!
