Absolutely gorgeous
This is indeed the most beautifully done book for children that I've seen. It arrived in a gorgeous, sturdy box with artwork on not only the outside of the box, but the inside as well. My child is wild about this story, and now owns 6 different versions of it! This one being the most amazing and special of all. It will long be cherished in our family.

Ugly pictures
I take my 2-year-old son to the library every week and anxiously search out the old classics, and the story "The Little Engine that Could" was always one of my favorites, but I was shocked! The pictures were SO UGLY! Then when I examined the inside cover, I saw that there were completely new pictures. WHY?? The old pictures were so charming! I was delighted to find...

I gave this to my grandson for his 5th birthday and his eyes just popped. This is his very favorite book and he's worn several regular sized copies to tatters. He loves his HUGE book and has already explained to me he's taking it to kindergarten for show-and-tell.

Great Value. One of the earlier reviews I read complained about the artwork. I, and everyone I shown it to absolutely thinks the artwork is excellent. I highly recommend this book!

I cannot say enough good about this book! It is truly a book that you will pass down generation to generation. I was sceptical at first because of the price and when I received it I was awe struck. I ordered this for my son's birthday party and it was beyond my expectation!! The book was still sealed from the publisher and in excellent shape. The details in the book were great and the kids had a lot of fun reading the story. The book is large enough that you can sit in a chair and the kids can sit in front of you and read it.

This was a beautiful book. Much better than I anticipated. If I had known I would have bought more than 2. Next time it goes on sale for $17.99 I will. I recommended this to anyone even if you have to pay a bit more than $17.99. It's worth it.
