Beautiful and accurate!,

We love the Little Engine That Could--so many beautiful details have been put into this train! The toy is very accurately created from the beloved illustrations.
The big problem with the Little Engine is that she is the tallest of all our wooden trains. At about 3 inches tall, she has clearance issues with a LOT of tunnels. Still, who can resist the urge to say "I think I can, I think I can" as she makes her way up a hill? I'd definitely recommend the Little Engine to anyone who loves Brio/Thomas-compatible wooden railway toys or the story of the Little Engine That Could, but be forewarned: she won't make it through low tunnels.

This is a delightful package of well-made, U.S. hand made, wooden train. Colorful and non-toxic and delivered quickly. Read the directions if you don't order track to go with it. I ordered from the company and would have saved money buying through Amazon. I'll order more accessories and products from this company as long as we have little ones around. There are also a variety of other trains and products for younger and older children. Great buy!!

"The Little Engine That Could" Wooden Train is a good value. It is well made of wood construction and painted in wonderful colors. The magnetic connectors for the cars, are strong and work well. There even is a car that is open enough for children to put a small toy in to go for a ride. It is a sturdy toy, and will be up to the amount of play a child will give it. The train does not come with track which will be an additional cost. Though the Train can operate without track by a couple of simple adjustments. I bought the track,it works with most any standard wood track system. This toy train is my Granddaughters, (2+yrs), favorite Christmas gift. The little engine itself goes everywhere with her, she even wants to take it to bed with her. The story was read to her many times prior to Christmas so the engine was readily recognized and immediately loved by her. It has been a great success for me too, I was very glad to find a safe, well constructed, USA made toy. MO Turtle

We bought The Little Engine That Could for our grandson's fourth birthday. He loves it even more than Thomas the Tank Engine at times. The Little Engine has "saved" a number of his wooden trains that need help to pull their loads. The only problem is that the smokestack is so high that it doesn't fit under some tunnels and overhangs.

But that's not the toy's fault. Excellent build and was very sturdy. They only hang-up is that her smokestack doesn't fit under the bridge of the Thomas tracks. But again, not they toy's fault. Blame the original illustrator. It looks just like the book so you can use it for telling the story.

Not as Nice as Expected,

I bought this for my nephew wanting a nice Made in the USA toy. It was much smaller than it appeared online, for the price I was disappointed. It came in a cheap blister pack and although the toy is very nice and good quality for that much money I expected something much larger. The cars were only a few inches long each.
