Close to perfect! The topics, illustrations, and tone of this book make it a children's classic. Your and your child's eyes will float lovingly over the beautiful illustrations. The pages will sweep you away to a gentle little farm full of life and happy creatures. The people of the farm and the community are in harmony, and the farm breathes life and joy. The drawings are so good, you'll return to the book with pleasure.

My son and I love this book! We especially like to look at the pictures they are so full of detail. The story is wonderful also and reminds me of the farms in my hometown. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who has a child that is interested in country life. I have convinced my sister-in-law to buy this book for her son and they enjoy it also.
