There for Tomorrow; True statement,
By
This review is from: A Little Faster (Audio CD)
These kids are really very adept at what they do, and the album is quite strong. You can tell that they are targeting the newest trends, and at the same time, maintaining some musical integrity. The musicianship is excellent, and I believe they show a little diversity in being able to change things up a little, you don't get bored listening to this album! These guys are on the right track, and if they don't get stuck in one mode, orclassification, they have a very bright future. They will definitely be "THERE FOR TOMORROW" Excellent work fellas, Keep it up!

Fast, Energetic Rock With Solid Musicianship Highlight 'A Little Faster',
By Lance G. Augustine (The Midwest, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: A Little Faster (Audio CD)
After their 2008 self-titled EP gained national recognition, There For Tomorrow is poised to make a few waves in the rock scene with the full-length A Little Faster, and although this album literally flies by faster than one should (only around 40 minutes of music), it packs a powerful punch for a young rock band...the solid musicianship is definitely a highlight.
Guitar takes center stage, from both a performance and production standpoint, and even though I would classify this as pop rock, an attempt is successfully made at giving the majority of songs a heavier edge. A strong rhythm section with excellent drum work by Chris Kamrada takes this from being just another pop band into something to be taken seriously, and even though I would say the target demographic of this band would be the younger set, There For Tomorrow should find more than its share of over 40 fans, too. Some tastefully done synth programming rounds out the instrumentation, but there's not too much to distract from the mainly harder sound it seems the band and producers are trying to create. There For Tomorrow has a distinct identity, and they stay true to that throughout the record...a definite plus. I would describe their style as a combination of Paramore, Linkin Park, Anberlin (evident on the opener, "The Remedy"), and just the slightest hint of Fall Out Boy (the song "Backbone", for example). The way they weave familiar pop rock melodies in, through and out of these songs makes for an interesting listening experience that isn't overly predictable, and while there are plenty of cliche lyrics ("It's 3 in the morning and I'm still not sleeping"), many of the lyrics get you thinking a little deeper. While most of the songs are up-tempo numbers, the times they move into slower or mid-tempo territory aren't half-bad, either. They still try to keep the power in songs like "Just In Time", "Stories", "I Can't Decide", and "Burn The Night Away" while bringing a little intimacy into the picture. Vocalist Maika Maila is an energetic singer, but I wouldn't go so far as to say he has an extremely unique tone to his voice...just a workman-like effort that is more than adequate and compares similarly to a majority of today's young pop punk singers. In summary, if you're looking new mainstream rock with a bit of an edge and songs with good melody and structure, I would say A Little Faster by There For Tomorrow is a decent bet to please you.
