Editorial Reviews

From the Author

This book was originally written as a NaNoWriMo book in 2007. By that time I had been living a debt free lifestyle for seven years. This book was updated for 2010 when it was picked up by Lean Marketing Press. I am pleased to say that through two moves and getting married, the rules and principles outlined in The Little Finance Book That Could still hold true a decade after I first used my rules to become debt free. I honestly believe that this book will help everyone who reads it. I did it. I became debt free. You can, too.

"This is a clear and concise book that will help you get your financial life on track and keep it there. Each segment is easy to follow and The Little Finance Book offers strong motivation for change in your life. This should be included in an adulthood survival course."
-M.G. Ellington, Author, Reviewer and Apex Book Company Blogger

"Based on the author's first-hand experience and packed with practical advice, this engaging and easy-to-read book is a step-by-step guide to seizing control of your personal finances."
-Gareth L Powell, author and marketing professional.

"I'm not an accountant, I'm a writer, with all the hiccups in income you'd imagine that come along with the job. This book makes so much sense; I'm immediately making use of it. It's not just a sensible guide to finance; it's the only one I've ever read that made any sense at all. I'll go back to it again and again."
-Filamena Young, Freelance Writer.

I cannot tell you to read this book enough. I've read finance books, I've been around people who are investors, economists--this is what most people need to read. Simple, concise, honest, and not at all judgmental. If you want to get out of debt, pick up good solid skills for managing your own money and have a book at hand that actively encourages you to do the work to get OUT of debt, this is the book. No gizmos, no seminars, just you, some real advice, and some pen and paper. Bam. You stick to the book for awhile, you'll see results. I'm already approaching how I handle my bills differently, I feel better about my chances for getting out debt. One of the big take-home lessons in the book is that like all the awesome stuff in life, getting out of debt is worth doing smartly, and well. Staying out of debt after that, while hard, is also just as worth doing.
