Little Giant 10940 Retrofit Wheel Kit

These are heavy duty nylon wheels. Install easily. Kit comes with all hardware including a drill bit and 3/8" inch wrench and hex key wrench for the screws. Just Make sure to follow installation directions for placing the wheels (on the outer side of the wide legs). Placement clearances on the Werner had to be slightly different than the installation directions show for the Little Giant Ladder, but everything still worked correctly. These wheels are a good thing for my ladder.

These wheels help a bit. Not as much as I would like...some day they may decide to figure a way to jumbo size these wheels and mount them in a way that retracts (like flight gear.) It will help a little, but moving the ladder by dragging over grass is tediou---wheels are hard and small diameter. For early models of the ladder,those that sold without pre drilled holes, company furnishes drill bits with the kit, a pleasant touch...overall I say it was worth having.

The Little Gian ladders, incidentally, are very confidence building when working a long time on your feet on rungs. I like the solidity of them. And do not think the imitations for less price are as good. Almost everything is aluminum and water resistant therefore... Company ought to include the hang on work platform, in my opinion. You will definitely want the work platform, and I say seek it too.

I own the Gorrila M17 Type 1 Ladder and this wheel kit works just fine on it.

I must say my Little Giant ladder is one of my favorite tools. As you get older you want a stable platform to stand on and you cannot get much more stable on a ladder than standing on the ground. This wheel kit is fantastic as it helps get it to where you want it with less strain. It went on very easy. Thanks for offering it for sale.

Wheels work Great! Holes were already predrilled on my Alta-One Little Giant Ladder, so installation was a breeze. It's so much easier now to move the ladder. Kind of reminds me of a suitcase with wheels. Just tip and roll, and away you go!

I am the type of person who believes in reading and following enclosed instructions. With this product I tried doing just that; but the reality is, there is no way you can accomplish the installation of the wheel assembly by following the directions to the letter. The biggest problem I found was because of the way the wheel housing is molded you cannot get a good grip on the Nylock nut, either with the supplied tool or with several other tools I attempted to use. Also, if following the directions explicitly, you cannot SEE the Nylock nut and have to try to "grab it" by touch. This is very frustrating. After a number of attempts to secure the Nylock nut while at the same time turning the bolt, I managed to tighten the whole contraption enough to be "acceptable". Once this task is completed you will find that the wheel assembly works as described and you will be able to move your ladder around your work areas without having to carry it. Patience is a virtue.

For those of us who have an older Type II ladder (mine from 1991 & '93), this set of wheels work just fine. Older units aren't listed in the instructions, but some quick measurements of the plastic pad at the foot shows that they are compatible.
Just to make sure, I used wood clamps to hold them to the rails, and tested them.

The slot in the molding fits right over the rail perfectly. They enclose a bag of hardware and include a drill bit. Can you remember the last time a manufacturer not only sent the required stuff, but also the extra to complete the job? Wheels are well made, instructions are clear, and if you have a heavier ladder, you will appreciate this accessory.

Adding these wheels was extremely simple and easy. Took only minutes. They even include the drill bit needed to drill the proper sized holes. Makes transporting the Little Giant Ladder MUCH easier. I highly recommend them.

My husband was thrilled to get this for a Christmas gift this year. HOWEVER, the box the wheel kit was delivered in said "wheel kit" right on it. Of course he knew what it was! I was very disappointed, as this was about the only thing he didn't know about before Christmas. Well, until it arrived, that is. But the product itself is great, and it was received right on time. Blank box next time, please.
