The Little Giant 15108 Synergy Model 5-8 is a lightweight, industrial-strength, adjustable stepladder for in-home and professional use. The 15108 has a stepladder height of 7-Feet and can extend up to 8-Feet tall. It has a 5-Foot storage height. The Synergy's RockLock height adjustment system make it safe to use on stairs and uneven surfaces. The Synergy also comes with the AirDeck utility tray and safety handle, which includes slots for power tools, screwdrivers, extension cords, mud knives, standard-sized paint cans, and a magnetized tray for loose hardware, making it easy to keep your tools within reach so you don't have to climb up and down while you're working. Giant Select Step for Homeowners!!!,

Being a homeowner for over 30 years, you experience the challenges that high ceilings, uneven surfaces and furnishings create when your task is several feet out of your reach. My wife and I previous home equipment fixes were the use of 4', 6' and 8' conventional stepladders for each particular job. From outside gutter cleanings and soffit repairs to inside high ceiling lighting repairs, AC register work, home decoration installations and painting crown molding, it seemed I always picked either too short or too tall a ladder for each task. The problems that arose with these different tools were overall cost, storage difficulties, lack of stability, transporting (8') and potential abuse. Now, we've found a Great Solution that fixes my entire multiple ladder needs without the multiple hassles.
The Little Giant's new Select Step (previous Synergy, our 1st LG ladder) lightweight aluminum adjustable stepladder system has cured many of our homeowner climbing needs: *The solid built-in platform "No-Pinch" - "Select Step" spreader system (upgrade over LG Synergy) maintains a 2-rung stance from the top throughout its full range of height settings. The solid step spreader is even easier to operate and provides the open ladder a more solid feel and stance than the Synergy. Safety rules, manufacture procedures, attached guideline labels and industry regulations all state that standing on the top cap or lower 1st rung of a step ladder is an extreme safety issue that can cause imbalance and instability, resulting in severe injuries and fatalities from falls. By offering a rock solid, full standing platform at the safest recommended standing height (2nd rung from the top or 2' short of the rated ladder height) we've found the LG Select Step System Is a Huge Ergonomic Improvement that contributes Greatly to your Personal Safety and Comfort! This will help ensure each user a "successful task completion" Without becoming part of the 200,00+ accident statistics recorded annually with homeowner and commercial ladder uses (abuses)! *With easy and quick settings ("Rock Locks" on front & "Quick Adjust Handle" on back), we can effectively create a 5' (3' standing with 9' reach) to an 8' (6' standing with 12' reach) stepladder that becomes the perfect height every time. Fell in love with this ladder right out of the box! It was everything the advertisement said it was. I was originally going to purchase one of the multi-purpose ladders. Upon further review & thinking about my uses for a ladder, I went with the Synergy because it met my needs. Since I have received it I've gotten the ladder out just to use it for little things; even though I could have used a simple 2 step ladder from Target or Walmart.
It is a touch on the heavy side for everyday use, however what does one expect when you have this much versatility out of a ladder. My neighbors are envious. I think I'll only charge them a $50.00 fee each time they want to use it...HA! If you are looking for a well built product (USA design, of course made in China) this is a quality purchase that you would be satisfied with. B. Blevins Cedar Park, TX

Safe, Easy to Use, and Lightweight,

This ladder exceeded my expectations. Honestly, I am afraid of heights, but after 10 minutes with this ladder I found myself confident enough to climb to the highest suggested rung (6ft.). The airdeck attachment put me at ease while I made my climb. It did not shake, and neiter did I. The flared, wide legs and rubber feet are a nice touch.
It is scary how easy it is to use. I had all the movements and configurations down in 5 minutes or so. No pinched fingers, no complex movements. Just use the rock locks and turn handle and let gravity do the work of adjusting the ladder height for you. Lastly, this ladder is super light weight. As a user with degenerative disc issues in my back this was a major consideration. Most of the Little Giant Ladders that are both A-frame and extension ladders weigh on average 35-40 pounds. As a 23 pound ladder this item puts no strain on my back or shoulders while I transport it in and around my home. The wheels are a major plus as well. Projects completed since getting this ladder 1 week ago: 1. Changed all lightbulbs in home. (including ceiling fan lights that are 12 1/2 feet from the floor. Used air deck to steady myself. No over reach, strain, or nervousness.) 2. Constructed shelving for my garage. (used 90 degree ladder function to get right up to my wall to put this together. Airdeck was great for holding my power drill. The magnetic tray was nice as it kept me from having to reach into my pocket every time I needed to get another screw). 3. Dusted vaulted ceiling fan. Dusted above fireplace mantel. (Used regular A-frame for ceiling fan. Used 90 degree function for the fireplace area). I can't wait to use this ladder in the spring when it comes time to pressure wash my home. The only negative feature I found was that this ladder is not compatible with the Little Giant work platform. However, the rungs on this ladder are very deep (good for those looking for more stability as they climb). I love it. My wife loves it. Anyone who wants a safe, easy to use, lightweight ladder for themselves and/or their family, this is a homerun. Tip: The Little Giant Ladder Rack is a great accessory that looks sharp and properly displays this beautiful ladder.
