This pump and the corresponding blue colored Little giant pumps are the same. The black series units are used in applications where you want the pump to blend into the surroundings. i.e. waterfalls. The different model #'s relate to the various cord lengths. I have purchased the blue colored ones for pumping off water from my pool cover, but with such a large differetial in price I decided to try the corresponding black one. Same pump lower price. Works great.

This is an identical replacement for a pump that was damaged while transporting a large water fountain (4 tiers with a bottom pool). The previous pump did a great job, and this one should as well. It worked fine right out of the box and I presume it will continue to work for many years to come.
