Unfortuantely my original pump died out so the time for a new one came up and this one little giant did a great job replacing it.

This little, inexpensive pump works well. I just bought one to replace an identical
unit which reliably powered a medium size outdoor fountain sixteen hours a day, seven
days a week for about six years! That over 30,000 hours of run time. Not bad for a
unit smaller than your fist. I'm impressed.

My previous Little Giant suddenly stopped working. I have no idea how old it was since it was given to me by a friend. Even after the casing cracked I glued it together and it continued to work for well over a year. Once it stopped working I tried three different brand models to replace it, but none of them had the ability to move the water as high as I needed for my outdoor fountain. (The column is about 18 inches tall.)

I highly recommend this little pump over ANY other. The strength is adjustable, so you can change how high you want the water to shoot. I'd never consider anything else.

This pump has lasted 11 years.
Whenever it has stopped working,
I have been able to get it running again.
Our biggest source of trouble for this pump- raccoons!

You can buy a replacement impeller,
but I just reconnect the propeller part back to the magnet part-
they separate if something (raccoon) blocks the impeller.

To fix impeller:
1. Open 2 halves of pump case- need screwdrivers to pry open
2. Pull impeller off shaft- will be in two pieces
3. Twist and push 2 halves of impeller back together again
4. Put it all back together- WHOOSH!!!

You probably know already to turn the power off for 10 sec or so,
after pulling the pump out of the water or
refilling the well that the pump sits in,
so that the impeller doesn't churn air bubbles around
instead of pumping.

You probably already know to check the pump
to see if anything is jamming the impeller,
clogging the intake or output hose-
after a few years of use, the hose can grow all sorts of gunk inside!

Note- our pump has never been frozen.

I purchased a fountain about 9 years ago that had a Little Giant pump in it. We used that fountain every summer from April to October continuously. It is such an awesome pump! Just last year it quit working. I thought that would be the end of my fountain figuring so many years had past they probably stopped making the pump required to operate it. Much to my surprise, they still make it!! I am so excited to be able to put my fountain out in my yard again. Would highly recommend Little Giant Pumps to anyone who wants a good quality, long running pump.

I inherited a fountain from the previous owners and was pleased to easily fix it with the PES 120 as replacment pump...but it died within a year. It is still getting electricity (you can feel a hum) and there is some suction, but no power. I tried cleaning it but there was not much to clean.

So I'm ordering another which will hopefully be more durable than the first one. So for me, it is 2 stars - it should last longer than a year.

Works perfectly in my fountain.

This is replacement from one that was in and lasted 4 years non-stop running. This is same model and replaced.

Works great.

We buy one of these every spring, because we let it freeze during the winter in the fountain. It is the smallest I've found that can pump water up a three foot 3/8" hose and out the top with several inches "water jet" to make a nice splash.
