This pump was a replacement for an original pump that lasted about five years. If you see a pool of water underneath your furnace/Air Conditioner coil housing then your condensate pump needs replacement. Ordering this model through Amazon saved about 50% over a comparable pump available at the Home Depot.

Delivery was slow so I was baling out a bucket for a week or so. I would recommend this brand. The earlier model failed possibly because it was encased in an insulated box to reduce any noise. In fact the basement location and the fact that it only runs when the Air conditioner fan is on makes noise almost a moot point. I did not enclose the replacement and therefore expect it to run much longer without failing since heat dissipation will not be a problem.

The Condensate Removal Pump From Little Giant #554401 is an excellent selection for replacement pumps absolutely suitable for high efficiency gas furnaces with A/C units. Draws residual condensation and pumps out of the home.

Web site was easy to use, product was sent in a timely manner and product worked as expected.

I purchased this pump since the other quit. I had to remove the three prong wiring and manually hook up the wires which was hard wired into the furnace. This is my first new motor in six years. I would highly recommend this product to anyone! I read some of the other reviews that were negative but mine is definitely positive, a five star rating!

Excellent pump which was purchased through Amazon and used as a replacement for the same brand and similar model number which was 10 years old and getting a little noisy. The pump was an easy install and did not involved any pipe work for the heat condensate and AC inputs. The secret involving removal of old unit and installing the new pump is just removing the tank first.

I ordered and received my Little Giant Pump# 554401 timely. I installed it fairly easily, as it was a direct replacement for the same pump that I installed 2 1/2 years ago. Unfortunately the weather has been very cool recently, so my AC unit hasn't needed to turn on or the condensate pump needed to remove condensate. The unit was built in Mexico, not Kentucky like my original Little Giant pump. Hopefully it has the same quality parts as the original and not a cheap version of it. I'll let you know.

My plumber installed this pump when I had to replace the condensing tray in my heat/cooling unit. It has worked great for 4 years but should be cleaned every couple of months to remove scale and keep the check valve operating properly. The check valve did crack once and I needed to replace it ($6.22 on Amazon). Overall a very good and very quiet operating pump.

this pump fits in the condensate collection pail of my dehumidifier. I ran the collection tube from the dehumidifier right into the pump and placed it in the dehumidifier. It automatically empties the dehumidifier as needed and saves me a real hassel. as a bonus if the pump fails for some reason the fail-safe switch which came with the dehumidifier still works as the pump fits neatly into the collection pail. Of course amazon had a great price and it came right away.
