Product Description

It's Not Easy Being Green

At first it seems amusing when Kyle Valenti's skin takes on a lime-colored hue. But within hours, the hospital has become a disaster area, full of humans who look more like aliens than the real "Scandinavian" occupants of Roswell. Soon, Maria and Alex have joined the club, and Max decides to use his powers to return them to normal. Except his healing touch apparently doesn't work when the trouble is cosmetic, and not life-threatening.

While the military forces the colored population into top secret quarantine camps, Liz searches for a scientific explanation and finds a familiar culprit -- and a new sense of urgency. Within forty-eight hours, this alien contaminant will change the humans' skin permanently, leaving the humans green...and Max, Michael, and Isabel unveiled.

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't hate it because of Tess..., April 4, 2002
If you are a fan of Roswell and you hated the second season this may make you feel a bit better. The book is a quick read but a fun read as we follow their trials, some funny and some scary, trying to turn Maria, Alex and Kyle back to their human pale skin colors along with a part of the Roswell population who live on the same side of town as three of our POD Squad. The writers show the characters working as a team and supporting each other. Many fans did not like the introduction of Tess to the show but she is used here as a helpmate for the whole group and not as an interloper. References are made to what was happening on the show and even gives some insight to how Max and Liz were actually feeling towards each other even though they weren't together(are the authors Dreamers, too, dare we wonder?). The show has always been about growing up amongst the scifi background of Roswell, feeling alien be it from being a real alien or just not fitting in with the "IN" crowd and this book gives the Liz, Maria and Alex an insight about being Max, Isabel, Michael and Tess trying to blend in on Earth. If you need a quick, light read about some of your favorite characters, I think you will enjoy it.

4.0 out of 5 stars A great story and a quick read., July 6, 2003
This was really a more comical installment to the series of Roswell novels. Everyone turning green really makes for some funny moments in the story. The authors also really did their homework with the characters, using almost all of them very effectively in the story (with the exception of Isabel, who is stuck in a quarantine zone and just sits around watching the green people). It showed the group as a team, working together to solve the problem, which is linked back to events from an episode of Roswell that takes place before the events of this book. All in all, a fun story and an enjoyable book to read. I highly recommend it to my fellow Roswell fans.

5.0 out of 5 stars the population of roswell green? oh my!!!!, June 19, 2002
By tammy (chicago, il United States) - See all my reviews
when kyle turns up green, the gang thinks this is really funny.
but within a couple of hours, maria and alex and half of roswell
are also green. the army is called in to quarintine the city against this disease and it is up to liz to find a cure. what she
finds in that if the cure is not found and given to the people in
48 hours, they will become permantly green. this book has the whole gang racing against the clock to solve the problem and even
gives tess a good part in all of it. the book could have been a
little more suspenseful though. it has a nice ideal but it was
not carried through enough for me. but if you are a fan of roswell, and you are like me, we will take what we can get considering that the show has been cancelled for good.
