Both little and harmless

This author reminds me of Cherise Sinclair lite. I like BDSM books, but hated the introductory public scene that Schroeder created for May and Evan. I did like that Evan had a tortured past he had to come to terms with, but otherwise, he felt very young, always jumping on May, no control or inner core of strength at all. Of course we are meant to believe that he had great control and inner strength but May had somehow eroded them, but we never saw it, we only saw the poor impulse control, which didn't make him feel like a clear and strong Dom at all.
This is a frothy book, I had just reread some far more hard core books and I guess I found this one a bit too Hawaiian sunshine, and not enough depth or darkness.
For some reason, I didn't find the sex scenes hot at all. I didn't mind the sexual tension, but once they started doing it, all heat seemed to fizzle away for me. So this book was just okay but my standards, I won't be rushing out to buy more. If you like Meliessa Schroeder, try Cherise Sinclair or even Sophie Oak, both have similar styles but I liked them much more.
