Mine is off by 9 degrees,

The Little Havana hygrometer I was sent is 9 degrees over actual humidity & can't be calibrated. I wrote -9 on the LCD with a Sharpie to remember actual level. The Caliber 2 hygrometer I bought is 1 degree over actual humidity.

The form factor only is the only "pro" of this hygrometer,

Ordered a unit three weeks ago, arrived in good packaging, however the temperature readout was faulty. Contacted customer service, they quickly sent me a second unit at no cost. The temperature readout on the replacement works fine, but the hygrometer reads 6% below the known source. This hygrometer cannot be adjusted. Look for other (adjustable) options. Possibly a defective production run of these devices. Too bad, I sure liked the form factor.

Received item promptly - packaging and feel suggested questionable product. Setup and installation were easy. Had no problems as long as it stood still in humidor...but while rotating cigars (roughly 1 month after purchase), I took it out and set it on the countertop. When I picked it up again, the battery door had come off and battery had fallen out (this should not happen unless manually removed). I replaced the battery and closed the battery door, but the door wouldn't close securely, and the display would not restart - the thing wouldn't work. The battery contacts inside consist of nothing more than coiled and bent positioned wire - no solid metal contacts...and it's difficult to get lined up where good solid contact is made. Sure, this may be a one-off occurrence with the battery door, but the contacts suggest just a cheap design - not an isolated oddity. After 3 tries or so, it seemed to make all the right contacts and resume function. Currently it's wrapped with one of the wife's hair binders to keep the battery door from coming loose. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the battery doesn't jostle loose from its position and kill the unit again.Sure, it's a great price...but really, you're not getting a deal, just getting a lower price. Save yourself the frustration and throw in the extra ten-spot for a reliable name. This one does what it says it'll do, but who knows for how long. The size is convenient, the accuracy seems right on, but the quality is lacking. Keep your eyes open, shop around, and although you may end up paying double this price on a Xikar...you'll have a hygrometer that'll last.
