I love the idea of these. I have used all kinds of microwave packs and the gel packs that you boil to reset. I thought these would be a great alternative for my office when my feet get cold. Or when I'm out walking to keep my hands warm in the winter.

The problem is that no matter what I do, I can't get them to be warm consistently. Sometimes they are wonderful and hot and last for hours. Other times I can't get them to be anything more than lukewarm. I've tried shaking, covering, letting them stay out, etc. I wish I knew what the magic was to using them but I'm afraid that I've given up and will go back to my reusable microwave packs.

These little pocket warmers are great. I have them in my pockets for skiing and when I'm standing in the cold watching my kid's soccer games. I've slipped them in my boots and have even put them in a sock and taken them to bed when I can't seem to warm up! Very handy little portable heaters!

some were luke warm and none of them get very warm at all. 8 hour, no way more like 30 minutes of tepid heat rip off!

These are great! You can stick them in your pockets or gloves and they'll really make a difference when you're out in the cold. You just have to be careful not to shake it around too much or the powder inside will come out of the baggie.

This product is a hit or miss. I remember buying this from Costco a few years ago and really liked it. It got hot enough that worked. I had a few packs left and after a few years, when I used it I noticed it wasn't getting hot enough. So, I figured it's probably old and should be discarded (although it was still within Expiration Date). So, I ordered a new pack from Amazon. When the new shipment arrived I noticed that they were not getting hot at all this time right from the get go! I checked the expiration date and it was valid. So, I couldn't figure out why... so I opened five or six packages to see if I only got a bad pack or something and I found them all to be at best lukewarm! I had read the reviews from others that appeared mixed... now I had a mixed experience myself! My conclusion was that there's probably variability in this manufacturer's specs and some packs work while others don't! I will definitely not order another pack because I'm now unable to return this batch because I opened a bunch of the packages and yet these are certainly not little Hotties I experienced a few years ago! Those got VERY hot. Not just mildly warm. I will try another brand next time. Too bad because I really liked my original experience with them a few years ago. I'm just not willing to risk it with the inconsistent results that reflect on multiple good/bad reviews you see here.

They arrived on time and were packaged well. A real advantage during this extremely cold winter. In the past I bought these in a big box store and then did not use them all until this winter. Excellent for times it is necessary to be outdoors--work, hockey games, funeral, ice fishing. This year I'm keeping some in my car in case there is an emergency. Judging on how long those other ones lasted I feel confident this product will be useful in future winters even if we don't use them all before they expire in july 2018. Buying them two or four at a time at a retail counter costs 400% more around here. I am in Detroit.

These get hot. They do not last as long as HotHands. Made in China. Has the b.e.f.org seal--reducing the carbon footprint. I ordered both
products at the same time because I wanted to be sure we got something delivered during this terrible winter.

The product does not work. We have a large family and ski extensively. I purchase a sizable amount of these type of warmer products each ski season. Many of them work great. This brand does not work period. It is difficult finding out the product does not work when you are out in the cold and expecting it to perform. I would go so far as to say this product is dangerous. Obviously reading the reviews after the fact, I realized that many people have the same experience and I hope one more posting will help others from making our mistake. I would strongly suggest you purchase another brand. We have had great success with Thunder Bay, Hot Hands, and Grabber brand. Basically, any brand other than this. You will also find the company does not provide any customer service follow up. I am a little surprised both Costco and Amazon still carry the brand.

These were horrible. Absolutely useless. As far as I could tell, there was no detectable difference in temperature after opening them and exposing them to the air. Shook them, made sure they were well exposed, nothing. At first I thought a few of them were defective, but after getting through a few more, I realized most of them were completely innert. I had one pack that took about 10 minutes to get hot, flashed to a hot temperature and 2 or 3 minutes later cooled back down to room temperature. Get a different brand, this brand is useless. Apparently they are "eco-friendly" though if that makes you feel any better, "made with wind energy" it says, whatever that means. Feels like they just scooped some sand and put them in a bunch of coffee filters. Get the Grabbers, or the Hot Hands. Wish I could get a refund for these still.
