Another reason Metal will never die.....,

Not only is Meat Loaf her dad, but her fiance is Scott Ian of Anthrax, who also lent his own talents to this record. I first heard a few songs on Eddie Trunk Live when he had Pearl and Ian on the show last month, and I was floored by the vocals. This girl has some serious heavy rock pipes. Buy it. Put it in your car. Go too fast. Smile. Repeat.

I got to see Pearl when she was touring with Meat Loaf and was mesmerized by her performance. I could not wait to have a CD by her.
It has been worth the wait. As the editorial review states, this is a brassy powerhouse that I hope will continue to grow and have a successful career. Rock n Roll has returned and it is a Little Immaculate White Foxy "Pearl"

Best rock album in the last 10 years,
This review is from: Little Immaculate White Fox (Audio CD)
My girlfriend bought me tickets to see meatloaf on sept 1st in ft lauderdale florida. WE have been waiting to see meatloaf for 30 years, never had the chance. The opening act is Pearl, this chick comes out and cranks out some serious music! I look closely and realize that Scott Ian (anthrax)is playing guitar and the drummer is from the band fallout boy (dude can drum) Pearl sings 6 songs that were hard rocking guitar masterpieces! she invites everyone to come out and meet her after her set, we did and we were blown away by such a kind hearted babe!
This cd is a speeding ticket waiting to happen, the 1st song "rock child" is a story about her life and it plays well, Nutbush city limits is a cover from Tina Turner and Pearl does a great job, song 3 "broken white" is a big song with some serious guitar playing and song 4 "check out charlie" had Ted Nugent playing feedback guitar like no other...the cd is a masterpiece you cannot wait to plug in your car and drive with, be careful this cd will put you in a trance and a speeding ticket! Good luck Pearl and thank you for a great big hard rocking disc we have not heard in years!

Never heard of her till a close friend called and said "Check this album out" So I did and was very impressed! Explosive and yet not to hard core. Can't wait for a second album to come out.

This "rock child" has pipes, but needs better songs,

Pearl Aday is a self-proclaimed "Rock Child" and has every right to that title. The daughter of larger-than-life rocker Meat Loaf, Pearl has never known a day without music. In addition to singing back-up for Meat Loaf from 1994 to 2003, she has done the same for Motley Crue. I guess to ensure her progeny are homozygous for musical genes, she has married Scott Ian (Anthrax).
Just a few bars in to her debut record, "Little Immaculate White Fox", it is easy to hear her primary musical influence - Janis Joplin. Incidentally, her biological father played drums in Joplin's Full Tilt Boogie Band. Pearl's name comes from Joplin's nickname, which is also the title of her landmark 1971 album. Follow all that? Pearl's band is comprised of members of Mother Superior, and "Little Immaculate White Fox" features guest appearances by Ted Nugent ("Check Out Charlie"), Jerry Cantrell ("Anything"), and of course, her husband Scott Ian. The record is an explosive debut, featuring powerhouse vocals in the finest rock tradition mixed in with meaty guitar and groovy beats. Paying homage to one of the greats, Pearl has included a cover of Tina Turner's "Nutbush City Limits" among her original tunes. All of the ingredients for something absolutely mind blowing are here, but what limits "Little Immaculate White Fox" is the uneven songwriting. There are some terrific highlights, such as the autobiographical "Rock Child", "My Heart Isn't In It", "Nobody", and "Worth Defending", but most of the other tracks come up short in the melody category. While the performances and lyrics are good, this is not enough to make some of the songs as memorable as they could be. A final exception is the closing ballad, "Anything", where Pearl shows us that she is 'well rounded' and can deliver an achingly tender love song. Pearl could be the Joan Jett for this generation - a true, red-blooded rocker who lives and breathes rock and roll. Check it out to hear a truly gifted rock vocalist. I just recently found out about this upon hearing Check Out Charlie on Pandora. I ended up buying the whole album. Not only are the songs pretty darn good , Pearl's voice is incredible. She can scream and belt it out. yet she can also get sultry and soulful. This lady has a definite future in rock music. I don't think you will be disappointed with this CD.

WOW, OVER THE TOP,

An incredible talent cranking out some seriously heavy and powerful rock. After listening to all the pablum that has been offered as music for the past few years, it is great to hear good music done well. Being a child of the 60's and growing up and old to the sounds of Meat Loaf and Janis Joplin, it is great to see the baton for real rock passed to the next generation, even better is the fact that she picks up speed for the next generation. Please, let her create more.

You just don't find many women that truly sing in this style. We need more female rockers. She has some serious talent. I hope she makes more and more and more records! JUST BUY THIS. She is amazing. And the songs aren't annoyingly repetitive. She writes the lyrics and others write the music. Pearl deserves to be recognized. I wish she had a hit so that more people knew about her and could appreciate her talent and rock music.
