Product Description

"A beautiful masterpiece", "inventive, moving and unrelentingly funny", "a deft statement on games and how we play them" - Little Inferno is an unusual game filled with surprise and wonder, and even better the less you know about it before playing!

Congratulations on your new Little Inferno Entertainment Fireplace! Throw your toys into your fire, and play with them as they burn. Stay warm in there. It's getting cold outside!

Burn flaming logs, screaming robots, credit cards, batteries, exploding fish, unstable nuclear devices, and tiny galaxies. An adventure that takes place almost entirely in front of a fireplace - about looking up up up out of the chimney, and the cold world just on the other side of the wall.

Nominated for the Seumas McNally grand prize, Technical Excellence Award, Nuovo Award, and received two Honorable Mentions at the Independent Games Festival.

4.0 out of 5 stars Burn baby burn! August 10, 2013
Platform for Display:PC Download|Edition:Steam
A surprisingly melancholy experience, Little Inferno is a captivating piece of interactive entertainment. I say that because it really isn't much of a game, at least not in the normal sense. There are no scores, no real goals to complete, and no enemies to fight. And yet it still manages to get under your skin and hook you from the minute you light your first toy on fire.

But, burn, buy, burn, the endless and monotonous grind should be an absolute chore, but somehow I couldn't stop playing the game. Maybe it was the fantastic presentation, that is both charming and creepy do to the fact you are ultimately burning them all. Or maybe Little Inferno is trying to say something about the way games inherently snare us in away from the world, and the fact I was so drawn into it only further drives home this message.

I can't honestly describe my experience with Little Inferno, and I'm not even sure I would say I enjoyed it, but what I do know is that it unlike anything else, and absolutely worth playing!

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best games I have ever played! June 7, 2013

As I wrote in the title this is one of my favorite games of all time. If you are looking for a game that is more about the story than the gameplay then this is for you. I read online that this game is enjoyed more the less you know about it and I believe that to be true, so I won't really speak to the story. I will just let you know that I've been playing video games since the Atari days and I have rarely seen a game that spoke to me the way this game did. You will not regret this purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars An experience June 14, 2013
Platform for Display:PC Download|Edition:Steam
This feels like it is less a game than an interactive experience--that is in no way meant to be a criticism because the experience is equal parts haunting, funny, and strange. This was developed by some of the same team that developed "World of Goo," and while this is less game-like than that one, the art style and tone will be immediately recognizable for Goo players.
I spent an afternoon with this, and it was an interesting afternoon indeed.

1.0 out of 5 stars This game was awful July 17, 2013
Platform for Display:PC Download|Edition:Steam
I've played exactly 30 minutes of this "game" and I'm, frankly, disgusted to even call it one. There was no challenge and no perceivable benefit to interacting with this piece of software. One the few games I will ever give a 1/10 to. Please do not waste your time or money on this product.
