I got this gun backpack for me and my son to use during our water wars. It holds a decent amount of water and shoots about 25-30+ feet depending on how strong you are to push the plunger back down. The backpack is great and fits perfectly on the back and a 4-6 year old kid. You can adjust the straps to fit even a full size adult to use. The packback is the main added feature as it allows you to not have to refill over and over again. The reason it was given only a 4 star is because as others have stated, it does leak a little water from the bottom where the hose attaches and will get your back wet. Does it matter, not really as getting wet is what you are supposed to be doing right? As for durability, about 10 people, adults and kids were using this gun, and droping it left and right to switch guns during play. The backpack was stepped on a few times by kids and everything still works fine. This is by far my favorite to use over the super soakers as this doesn't need as many refills and you can just keep shooting. You kids or grandkids will love this gun.

I purchase this for my grandsons birthday. Once he figured out how to work it he had a blast running around squirting everyone.

Vine Customer Review of Free Product( What's this? )
Small is the only way I can think of to describe this toy. It is a very small tank. It fits on a very small child. It has a very short blaster. The blast is actually kind of gentle and one that is not a problem for small children shooting each other.

This would make a superb children’s party favor during warmer weather. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles would make a great theme party. It would be good to cut up a bunch of scarves to make the masks and headwear. I can see setting up a bunch of little kids with these water blasters and scarves and send them after each other in the back yard.

I would not go much over the 4 year old age group for this toy.

As they say, everything old becomes new again. I'm sure a lot of parents are feeling a sense of deja vu as the Ninja Turtle phenomena has recycled around to a new generation. Truthfully, I'm not a big fan of movie tie-in toys. In general, I find that you overpay for toys that under-perform and nothing is more disappointing than that! When your kids are psyched about something like this, it's terrible when it turns out to be a dud (we've had many experiences recently with Spiderman toys). I guess that the greatest compliment that I can give the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Shell Water Blaster is that it has kept its concept very simple. This really benefits the toy in the long run and doesn't make you feel ripped off by the experience.

The shell operates like a backpack of sorts. Your child straps it onto his/her back and it is filled with water (a pretty decent amount, so there's not a continual reloading process). So the look approximates an actual turtle with the pack in place. A simple hose connects from the shell to a pump action wand. You operate the contraption by priming the wand back and forth causing a stream to issue forth. It's not a perfect system, to be sure, and there can be leakage issues throughout. But as this is extremely portable and ready to go into action, I don't think the holder will have too much of a problem with getting a little wet while using it.

If the kids are big fans of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, I can see how this would be a hit. It is user friendly even for small children and that is also a bonus.

Pros:
Nice Reservoir of Water
Simple To Use

Cons:
Some leakage issue.

Overall, the Shell Water Blaster is not extravagant in build or in pricing. Although not perfect, I think that it is affordable enough to be a winner in most households. About 3 1/2 stars. KGHarris, 9/14.

This is adorable for my 5 year old nephew! I took the water squirting part off, so he just uses it as part of his costume. Very Cute!

This product was very poorly constructed and cheaply made! Bought two of them and funny thing is both had same problem. The tubing kinked on both shells at port exiting shell, thus rendering item useless. Tried duct taping them to keep line patent, however still continued to kink. Even when tubing was straightened by manually keeping line continually unkinked product did not stream water they sprayed a mist....totally worthless Made in China piece of junk!

This Little Kids Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Shell Water Blaster was not as expected. The shell is little and did not fit to my 4 years old nephew. I needed to buy one at a local retail store before Christmas Day in order to have a gift for him. He loves Ninja Turtles and this was an excellent gift for him. This Little Kids Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Shell Water Blaster fits perfectly to a boy between 2-3 years only, not older.
