This is a lovely little book (7" x 7") full of wonderfully creative examples of dozens of designers typographic letterpress work. The cover is produced on a letterpress but, unfortunately, the interior of the book is standard offset printing. Chronicle Books had no other choice, of course. However, some of the examples are lit is such a way that the subtle embossment of the letterpress process shows beautifully. This is a book for type fans but also is a rich graphic inspiration for all designers at 175 pages. Highly recommended.

What a lovely book. By lovely I mean how the well the book is made and also the great content inside. Each page is an inspiration for people interested in this form of printing and design. Most of the book contains letterpress portfolios around the world. But there is also a brief history and letterpress in practice at the beginning and resources at the end. Just marvel at the design and printing skill.
