The author paints a light, colorful picture of growing up in small town Ohio. His attention to the intricacies and details, whether of people or places, allows the reader to sit along side him and take the trip back in time. You become part of his world , a long lost friend with whom he is sharing a few of his secrets.

Not just a book about football, but about a boy and his father, the father and his team, and the wonderfully charming town that embraces them all. Highly recommend reading snuggled in your blanket, in your favorite chair on a crisp fall night.

If you like football and enjoy reading about success stories, this is an awesome book to read. Not only does the author decribe the Canal Winchester football team during this era, it also paints a touching story about growing up in the small town in Ohio... his relationship with his Dad, family, & friends. It brought back a lot of memories of my own childhood and I thank you for that, Little Locke.

The story also mentions quite a bit of history of Ohio, which I thought made it even more interesting.

I would definitely recommend this book if you enjoy smiling, laughing and maybe even crying when you dive into reading.

5 Stars all the way!!!
