Tubby and the space men, November 25, 2007
This review is from: Little Lulu Volume 16: A Handy Kid (v. 1) (Paperback)
The fun continues with boys vs. girls, Tubby's gang vs. the the West Side guys, Tubby aka The Spider vs. Lulu's pop, Lulu vs. Witch Hazel, and so on. This volume is special for the story "The Little Men," marking the debut of the miniature space men in a flying saucer who show up in Tubby's bedroom.

I haven't been a kid for many years, but I still love the Little Lulu comics written by John Stanley. They are very funny and imaginative, although they portray a childhood that no longer exists (if it ever did).
Since Amazon doesn't have this volume in stock, I hope they won't mind if I mention that there are still some places that have new copies and are selling it at their regular price. Just Google for "little lulu a handy kid" and you should find them. I recently purchased a copy for $8.75 from ScifiGenre. Brand new, and very fast service. I ordered on 11/03/09, and received it on 11/05.
