I am 17 yrs old. My mom got the mermaid coloring book for my little 10 yr old sister. This is not just a coloring book it is a story as well. The story is in small sized words filling entier pages and it is not the disney's story....but still nice. The pictures are okay some r better then other's. You can defenetly see the artist talent, but it looks like the artist was trying to add a a old master's look to the drawings. This coloring book was okay, but I am giving it only 4 stars becuse there is just as much story as there is drawings. My little sister likes it ok but she likes her fairy coloring book (that we alsogot off Amazon) muchbetter and so do I. All in all this cloring book was ok but I have had better.

This book is appropriate for older children who read because the text of the H.C. Andersen story accompanies the outline illustrations for readers to color. Thea Kliros provides nicely detailed illustrations for the more advanced coloring book enthusiasts. This is not a Disney-modified version of the story that would appeal to early-elementary aged students.
