This is a great gift or starter set! It includes, as the description clearly states, 6 books. These usually retail for $3.99 each, so I am a little surprised to see people assume that this is all (40 or 50?) books for $11.50? I'm not sure what the disappointed people could possibly have expected here, but this is a GREAT value for some great books. Regular price you'd expect to pay about $24 for these 6 books, if they weren't in the set.

Ok, the packaging is a little misleading, but do people really think you would receive all of the books for $11.00?!?! These are books I loved as a child and now my two girls (3 and 1 1/2) love having me read the books to them. Considering each book sold individually is at least $4.00 this is a good deal.

When I priced these books at our local store they were almost $5.00 a piece. I was elated to find a set like this for my neice for a fraction of the cost!

All the other reviews pretty much sum up how great these books are. I remember reading them when I was in elementary school, and I was so happy to buy this set for my 5 year old niece, whom I have been reading them with since she was 3.
A note on the packaging- from the picture I thought it would be a cube with six books stacked inside, but its like a giant book that you open up with three on each side. It also comes with envelopes so you can mail each book individually as a gift. This is a great deal, because even if you use the 4-for-3 promotion that some of the books are good for (including the Mr. Men books) it works out to be slightly more. Also, if you order them seperately, you won't get the nice presentation of the gift set.
Last year they were sold out, but this year I have bought 2 sets already as gifts. I plan on buying this or the Mr. Men gift set for anyone I know who has a baby. I highly recommend it!

I don't get the confusion...it says in the description exactly what you are getting. The titles. Equal Six. We must read the fine print! A cliche that often saves the day! Great set. Super Cute.

These books are fantastic for reading to children and they teach subtle character issues. So glad that they were available online at Amazon. Usually they are only available through UK distributors.

Who didn't love the Mr. Men and Little Miss books as kids. This is a great sampling. These book have great lessons to teach without your kids even realizing it.

This set is packaged in an appealing colorful book format. Set contains 8 books with envelopes. They can be sent individually as gifts or kept as a set.

This is a cute gift. Its a great price so is the perfect gift for someone you dont know that well or to add to a gift to another gift to make really fun.

I loved these books when I was a kid and all of my 3rd grade students love them now. Every student, from the high-level readers to the ones who struggle and hate reading, wants to check them out of my library. I teach in an inner-city school and my children have copied down the title, author and amazon.com's webpage to ask their parents to order these books so they can read them over and over. For these kids, that's a big accomplishment. I can't recommend them enough!
