I am just now reading Lori Fosters older books since I am new to her books!This one was very hot and romantic...You watch 2 people who cant stand each other based on their opinions of each other-but they come to find out how wrong they were about each other-and it took a dog bite to do it lol- You watch them fall in love and you cant help but wish this book didnt have to end!...you laugh and smile....this is a perfect 10+ ! A very romantic fun and hot read...This book has been out a while but I am writing this for Loris new fans who havent picked this one up yet-GO BUY THIS ONE! You will love it!You will be left with a smile on your face just as you would with any of her books!

Lori Foster is writing some of the hottest books on the market today, all of them peppered with her wit. I have the feeling that if Little Miss Innocentwas your first Lori Foster you would love it. I read it right after Tantalizing which was a 5 star book for me. Perhaps it is the limitations imposed by Desire, but LMI just seemed to be a little bit of a let down after Tantalizing. The premise was also a little bit hard to accept--the sex expert who was a virgin. The hero was wonderful and I liked the strength of the heroine a lot. This was a fun, quick read and certainly enjoyable--I just think that Harl. Temptations Blazes provide Lori with more latitude for her obvious talent. Linda Hurst Reviewer Under The Covers

Well. I am so obviously not Lori Foster's reader.

It started with page 1 and the heroine's name: Lace. Big groan. This is a name you'll find only on a stripper or a romance heroine. Yes, I know Lacey is a real name, but even the Baby Name Wizard doesn't list "Lace". Okay, that's minor, and common to a lot of romances. Anyone know why that is? Drives me nuts.

The niggles just kept adding up. You don't have a "hoard" of friends. If someone's your "erstwhile" slave, it doesn't mean they're your devoted slave--it means they used to be your slave. And a secluded cabin doesn't "allot" privacy. Sheesh. Just use simpler words, if you're not sure of the meanings.

Except for the name, I only noticed those things because the book itself irritated me so much. Lace is a radio sex therapist, who's bitten in the butt by a dog, and at the ER, the doc who stitches her up is none other than Dr. Daniel Sawyers, the brother of her best friend, with whom she has a mutual lust/disapproval thing going on.

She thinks he's a stick-in-the-mud; he thinks she's a slut. Oh, and a "liberal." Ooooh. And she's a bad influence on his baby sister, who's now dressing like a girl and dating. (Lace & baby sis are both 27.) But they're y'know, hot for each other anyway.

Now Lace needs somebody to help her out, what with the pain in her butt (sorry--I couldn't resist), so Dr. Dan decides to stay over. Since baby sis is busy shopping. Why this would make her unable to help her friend out for a couple of days is beyond me.

The proximity gets too much for Dr. Dan, so he comes up with the brilliant idea of pretending he's sexually dysfunctional so Lace won't be able to resist fixing him. And golly gee, is there anyone out there who didn't figure out by page 3 that Lace is a virgin? Is there a sex therapist heroine in all of Romancelandia who's ever had sex? I think it's in the job description.

The rest of the book is just standard, cliched stuff. The awwww... perfect Christmas presents, the clearing up of misunderstandings, the sex scenes. It's tempting to say it's just an older book, but 1999 isn't all that old.

I loved the book!!! It was so funny to see the male psyche put to the test. Daniel really met his match with Lace and she gives as good as she gets. Its about time!!! The only thing I want to know is: Is there a book coming out on Annie and Guy?

The author is as beautiful as the cover model, and I swear, they must be the same person ;>

What a wonderful treat of mistaken impressions. Lace is so wonderfully giving, "colorful" and fun. Daniel is serious and responsible, and wants to protect his "innocent" sister from worldly Lace. Boy, does he have a LOT to learn!

Lori Foster gives the reader a full emotional experience, with touches of family and lots of TENSION!!! This is a page-turner that will burn your fingers and fill your appetite. Yummy!!

I don't know why, but i've had this book on my shelf for ages (years) & the 2 follow-on stories, (Annie & Max's) without getting round to read them. I have just finished the private eye & men to the rescue series & thought i'll read the Sawyer series of books.

And did I miss a real treat. This book is fantastic. You can't get a better couple than Lace & Daniel. They are so full of misconceptions about each other. They don't like each other very much. It takes their family & friends to put them right. Daniel is outwardly reserved, but get him on his own & he is hot! Lace is very flamboyant, who loves colours, talks about sex as if she has personal experience of it. When in fact all she knows is what she has learned from books.

A fantastic read.

I just finished reading it and it was wonderfully written. I have enjoyed several of Lori Foster's novels and this was the best one.
