5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Fascinating for All! Feelings kids can relate to, January 20, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: The Little Black Fish and Other Modern Persian Stories (Three Continents Press) (Paperback)
These stories are well written and engrossing. "The little black fish" is similar to Jonation Livingston Seagull, but more inciteful. "24 Hours" presents feelings that all kids can relate to the extent that after reading only 10 pages you feel like you have experienced what life was like for poor kids, under the Shah's rule. These are the kids grew up and took over the country. I would recommend it to any adult who wants to better understand history or who wants to raise broad-minded children. I will send a copy to my young Iranian friends, for when they ask "Why did Daddy have to leave Iran?"
