Little Mommy Baby Knows Doll

I really wanted to pick up something more "big girl" for my daughter for xmas. She loves the little Mommy dolls the most so this seemed like the natural next step. I have it put up until xmas but alreasdy I am impressed with it. It has all the cuteness and durability and softness as the other Little Mommy dolls, but with bonus educational interaction. I know this will be her favorite gift under the tree this year!

Everything seemed great until the ABC song. It says ABCD la la la and basically skips over the rest of the letters. Not very impressive. Why couldn't they have just added the rest of the letters and not gone with the la la la. It reminded me of the Barbie that said, "Math is hard". If you don't mind that the "Baby Knows" Doll really doesn't know, then I would give it 4 stars.

This baby doll, although beautiful,
is hard for little ones to operate.
It's mechanism is too slow and cumbersome
for a toddler to understand and appreciate.
You need to place it's hand on various parts
of the doll's body to have it speak and toddlers
have a tendancy to move the hand too quickly for the
toy to respond and speak to them.

She loves this doll. Having had it for only a few days, I can't comment on the durability, but we hope it lasts a long time.

I am so disappointed in Fisher Price! They are the leaders when it comes to this type of toy and I can't imagine what they were thinking. Like some of the other reviewers have pointed out, this doll starts to sing the ABC song but after letter G, she goes into silly baby babble the rest of the song. Why not just let her do it in it's entirety if the whole song is going to play anyway? Same thing when she touches her toes with "This Little Piggy"...she only does part of it. Overall the doll doesn't really do a whole lot for $[...]. It's cute but definitely needs improvements.

Overall, a very nice educational doll. She looks just like "mommy gotta go doll", and is much less than her!! She talks in Spanis as well. You just clap her hands to talk. MY 2 & 3 year old love her.

My daughter got this doll as a gift. It is very cute and a great idea but there are a few things I DO NOT like about it. When you put the dolls hand to her mouth she will say A B C D E F G, and then make silly noises like blah blah da da bee boo and some farting noises...I don't understand why she just can't say the rest of the alphabet. Also, when you put her hands to her ears she says things like...what, I can't here you?...What did you say? It's kind of a sassy talking doll.

I purchased this doll for almost 3 year old and almost 2 year old grandchildren. The doll is soft bodied. She is bilingual and has a button inside to switch languages. The only improvement I would have made is to have removable clothing as this is an age where dressing up and changing clothing is important. Not sure about educational value as most children in this age range already know their body parts. She sings the ABC song but sings la-la-la for the middle letters. Both play with her and enjoy her. She also has an off button which Moms appreciate. I would purchase her again.

I bought this doll for my 15th month old daughter for xmas, and she absolutely loves it. After I put the doll's hand to its mouth or tummy a couple of times to show her how to use it, she just took over and had it talking up a storm. She carries it around and really seems to love it, trying to feed it her cereal and give it a bottle. I think it is a favorite because it is soft and cuddly, but it also talks and reacts directly to something that my daughter is doing. My older daughter (who is 6) even seems to like playing with the doll, and I have to remind her that it was her sister's gift, not her's, so that she give it back to her little sister. As long as it holds up well, I think that this doll is going to be played with in our house for a long time.

My child barely played with the doll and didn't really take advantage of the special features. When she did play with it, she played as if it didn't even have those special voice features. I was disappointed.

Btw, the arms and legs are raggedy.
