My daughter loves this toy. The animated movements are really good for an item so cheap. Also the doll is durable having taken a lot of knocks.The hat moves around. The items fit in the mouth snuggly and the dolls stops cooing when the item is put in the mouth. As for the controversy regarding the religious message, non-issue for this family (lol).

Im so glad I decided to buy this doll despite the hype.We are a Jewish family so the last thing we wanted was a doll that praised Allah, but this doll looked and sounded so cute I took a chance for Chanukah.Well my daughter has been playing with her for well over a month at this point and Ive never heard anything but very cute cooing sounds from her.She is also very durable, I accidentaly ran her over with my SUV and she was completely unharmed!Bottom line : Cute Fun Doll, no religion included

I bought 4 of these dolls, 2 in the purple outfit and 2 in the pink outfit. Out of the 4 I have, 2 of them DO say "Islam is the light" and it is very, very clear. Every 3rd phrase... Islam is the light. I bought these dolls for 2 reasons, the first being the price, $6.xx and free shipping. The other reason, I had to "hear" for myself. There is no mistake, the 2 dolls I have do say the phrase VERY clear.

I know there are a lot of critics about the sounds this doll makes but I believe it has been taken care of by this newer "model".
My daughter's doll just gurgles and coos and occasionally says, "mama". She also blows raspberries (which my son says are "farts".)
She is small for a baby doll but perfect for a young child to haul around.
She comes with a cute outfit. The hat is sewn on so I wouldn't recommend taking it off or it will not stay in place.
She comes with a four position switch. One is for trying it out, one is for movement and sound, one is movement only and one is to turn everything off.
She is really cute in her movements and sounds (but after awhile, it does get on my nerves so we switch it to movement only!). My daughter loves playing with her and tending to her needs.

BIG NOTE: the picture shows that she comes with keys and a blanket. THIS IS NOT ACCURATE. She only comes with a pacifier and bottle. This picture must be for an earlier model.
Forget the cynical reviews, this is a good little baby doll at a good price.

I love this toy. My daughter thinks it's adorable. There is nothing wrong with what it says. In fact, I think it teaches tolerance. You can tell your child that her toy is Muslim. what is the big deal?

We have had this doll for a while with no issues- my daughter loves this doll it is her favorite. We don't even turn on the sounds so often but the doll itself is well made and very durable. The fabric cleans easily as well. It is very soft and a nice light doll for little girls-my daughter has had this since she was a year old she is now three and still loves it.

My 2 year old recieved this baby for christmas and loves to hear it "goo goo ga ga" and loves to put the pacifier in it's mouth...I like the different settings on back that allow for me to turn it to "no sound, only movement" or "sound and movement" or completely "off". It's been an awesome doll!

Our daughter received this doll as a birthday gift. Someone asked the name of the doll (because she loved it and wanted to purchase it for someone) so I went online only to find that people are stating that this doll makes a religious reference. The only thing I can decipher is "mama". Either only some of the models say the phrase, or they fixed the issue, or people just hear what they want to hear type of thing. Not sure which.

The doll is super cute and her babbling and cooing isn't "spooky" sounding as some dolls can sound. The sounds seem to be actual baby sounds (which I prefer over the toys that have adults voices attempting to sound like babies). She's dressed in a pink and white "feetsie jammies" with an attached purple pacifier. Her tag indicates that she was made in 2007.

I was looking for a doll that I could get my daughter for her 1st B-day (yes, this toy is recommended for 3+) and this one called to me from the shelf....literally. It was 10 dollars more than the one I was going to get her that did nothing but look cute. I also wanted to mention that it sounds like my daughter too....So I get it home and I decided to look for it on Amazon to see if it was cheaper (I did not buy this online) and thats when I saw all the controversy about the doll. Honestly, I didnt hear it at all...even if it did....I dont think I would take back the doll....But anyway...so I looked up videos on it on youtube and I heard what they were talking about (though I still think its hype) and I have to say, my doll does not make that series of sounds at all. SO I am thinking I might have a different version?? I even took it out of the box and off demo mode and still nothing. It does not have the same phrase as I saw on the internet. SO....with all that said...(with phrase of not), I personally think this is a cute doll! My daughter hasnt played with it yet or even seen it because her B-day isnt until next week, but I know she will love it. Mine only came with a pacifier and a bottle...not the rattle and other thing it show in the pic...but thats not important anyway. I think its an excellent doll your child will love to love.

I believe that you hear the toy saying weird stuff, but this doesn't mean that it is actually saying them. It is just a play of human neural system on your perception. If you don't tell people what they should be hearing, they wouldn't be able to make those words out of the baby-coo playing from the doll.
