Little Mommy Play All Day African-American Baby

We have had this doll for 2 days. The doll came quickly and my toddler was thrilled. I was relieved that the doll does not have a high pitched voice, and the volume is tolerable. I actually find my self mimicking some of her exclamations. Buuuut......

I am slightly disappointed for several reasons;
1) For $35 i expected a better quality doll. The arms and legs are connected to the body via cloth material, so they dangle.

2) The velcro that closes the clothing in the back does not stay put, it keeps opening, and this bugs my little princess.

3) The clothes are sewn unto the doll. Why couldn't the clothing be removable so kids can change their dolls. I was intending to get the clothes for her, but now I am glad I did not order them.

4) My 3 y o complains that her doll won't go to sleep. Would it have been that more costly to make the eyes clothes when she is held horizontally?

If my princess had not named her yet and loved her so much, I would return it. I will be buying an additional doll that has clothing, shoes etc. My toddler already holds her by the arm sometimes, so i know the fabric may rip apart soon.

I am just glad I did not pay more for it.

One question? Why are the african american dolls more expensive on amazon???? Like 40% more.......I am a huge fan of amazon- but this makes me want to stop shopping through amazon.....

This baby doll talks a lot. She is a teaching instrument for my grand daughter who also talks a lot. She is a cute african american doll. The maker didn't over exaggerate her features.

I bought this doll for my granddaughter (age 4) last year! She is talks, laughs, giggles and my granddaughter just would not put her down last year. She says a lot of phrases and loves to play. She is a cute doll!
