4.0 out of 5 stars nice doll
Like other reviews, the doll does have stuffed legs. Although in my opinion, I rather like the stuffed legs, I think it mades the doll a bit softer to snuggle for kids. The doll itself is adorable, with the baby powder scent, just as the Little Mommy baby dolls have. She does have a child's voice, which is nice. I bought 2 of these dolls, one for each of my daughters for...

3.0 out of 5 stars Toddler Doll Review
I bought this doll for my 2-year-old and she seems to like it, but the actual doll is not quite like the one pictured. Instead of vinyl legs the has soft cloth ones. Basically, her pants are her legs with a 1/2 inch strip of fabric "skin" and a vinyl sock/shoe combo sewn to the ends, so changing the outfit is not possible. 3.0 out of 5 stars Toddler Doll Review, August 2, 2006
This review is from: Little Mommy Play All Day Toddler Doll (Toy)
I bought this doll for my 2-year-old and she seems to like it, but the actual doll is not quite like the one pictured. Instead of vinyl legs the has soft cloth ones. Basically, her pants are her legs with a 1/2 inch strip of fabric "skin" and a vinyl sock/shoe combo sewn to the ends, so changing the outfit is not possible. Also, because of this, the doll will not sit or stand on its own and must be propped up. This is a bit disappointing since most toddlers can at least sit alone. The arms do move when it talks, and in my opinion they move too much, but my daughter doesn't seem to mind. A volume control would have been nice, too, since it is a little loud, but our family is noise-sensitive so it might not be a problem for others. The voice does sound like a toddlers (eerily like my 3-year-old cousin's as a matter of fact) and is polite, saying please and thank you. However, mostly all the doll does is talk about food, to the point I have started referring to it as Munching Miranda, after another doll this is like a low-end version of. This does work well for us, though, since my daughter loves to feed everyone and everything. It definitely has the Little Mommy "look" and would make a cute "big sister" for the Little Mommy baby. I'm still kind of undecided about it since it does have some good qualities but it also has its drawbacks. I guess for $35 you can't expect miracles.

3.0 out of 5 stars Doll not as pictured, August 8, 2006
This review is from: Little Mommy Play All Day Toddler Doll (Toy)
After reading the previous review, I dug "little mommy toddler doll" out of the closet, where she is in hiding until Christmas. I found to my disappointment that our toddler doll has the same fabric pant/leg/ankle combination with plastic shoes sewn on. The doll pictured obviously has plastic legs! For false advertising, this product is not getting more than 3 stars from me.

The only reason it gets any stars at all is because this is a cute doll, and a nice graduation from the "little mommy" baby doll. Knowing my daughter, she will love it (seeing as at 2 1/2, she won't be disgruntled over the false advertising like her mom is!).

2.0 out of 5 stars This doll is only good for girls 2-4ys old. Too boring for older girls, November 19, 2006

This review is from: Little Mommy Play All Day Toddler Doll (Toy)
I was debating getting this doll for my daughter. I definitely wanted an interacting doll and this seemed to be the one I was leaning on. She is on the low side moneywise compared to Amanda and seems a lot cuter. Her voice is very cute, better then Amanda and Baby Alive. I needed to get her myself to check her out. After playing with the doll, I decided to return it. These are the reasons:

The doll has fabric legs that in my opinion will get dirty after awhile. I prefer movable plastic legs that you can clean if needed.

Because of the the fabric legs you can not dress this doll in any other clothes. No fun at all which leads to kid getting bored of it quicker.

Also because of the fabric legs, this doll does not sit up on its own. It needs to be propped into a corner or in a highchair to actually sit up on its own. That would be fine if it was an infant but this is a toddler who requests to "eat" and "play" and it would be nice if it could sit up and play. She seems more like a talking stuffed animal.

The doll moves her arms too much. It seems like everytime the doll says a phrase the arms are moving up and down. Cute at first, annoying after awhile.

Personally I thought this doll was way too small for my child's age (5yrs old) I just wanted something a little bigger. I think this doll is much better for the preschool age girls - age 2-4yrs old. Girls that can not really dress a baby doll yet but would like the doll to talk. I think for girls 5yrs and up, Baby Alive is the better pick. She is a little bigger, says more things and has more facial movements, you can dress her, feed her and change her diapers. Personally, I can see my daughter using Baby Alive much more. Amanda seemed to costly for me and too many bad reviews. So Baby Alive got my pick. After Christmas, I will see how my daughter feels.

4.0 out of 5 stars nice doll, October 12, 2006
This review is from: Little Mommy Play All Day Toddler Doll (Toy)
Like other reviews, the doll does have stuffed legs. Although in my opinion, I rather like the stuffed legs, I think it mades the doll a bit softer to snuggle for kids. The doll itself is adorable, with the baby powder scent, just as the Little Mommy baby dolls have. She does have a child's voice, which is nice. I bought 2 of these dolls, one for each of my daughters for Christmas, and I think they will love them. The doll reacts to the food that she comes with, making the appropriate munching/slurping noise depending one what food you hold up to her mouth. The only think I didn't like about the doll was how the batteries are set up. You have to pull out this little rectangular plastic piece that seperates 2 batteries on top of one another, and it is a bit awkward and annoying. I also would have preferred if they put some kind of a volume control on the doll, it is a tad bit loud- but bearable. One more thing I will add, while I was shopping for these dolls in the store, I noticed that several of the dolls didn't have moving arms. I had thought they were broken. When I got the dolls home that I purchased, I squeezed their hands a couple of times, and their arms stopped working as well. It seems to be that the arms are the first thing to stop working, I am assuming when the batteries start getting low. They worked fine after I replaced the batteries. I was also a bit surprised at how much the arms do really move once you switch the doll to "on" rather than the demo/try. The arms move pretty much to everythin she says. As an adult, seems a bit odd- but I think fom a child's view they would love it. Overall, I think this is a great to and little girls that love dolls will love having this one!

4.0 out of 5 stars My daughter loves this doll!, October 14, 2006
This review is from: Little Mommy Play All Day Toddler Doll (Toy)
At first, the doll only said a few phrases, until we realized we had to switch her from the demo to the on position. My daughter absolutely loves her, although I think Fisher Price cheated a kid. As others have said, she's not as pretty as she is in the photo, and it's wrong to photograph a doll with vinyl legs if that's not what you're selling, but I honestly don't mind the softer legs.

4.0 out of 5 stars All Day Fun - a review of "Little Mommy Toddler", December 26, 2006
This review is from: Little Mommy Play All Day Toddler Doll (Toy)
We just received this doll as a present and my daughter (6) loves it. In fact, I don't recall her ever being this enthusiastic about a toy before - but maybe that's just mommy-memory ;-)

Our doll looks a little different from the one pictured here. Her hair is longer and so are her pants. [I agree with some of the reviewers that it would have been nice if she could have some changes of clothes.] She has the soft legs - no problem for us.

She speaks about 30 different phrases, or so says the box. I'm sorry but I haven't counted. Most popular with my daughter is "I love you, mama", 'I'm sleepy', 'squeeze my hand and lets play'. She also asks for food and drink and giggles.

One of the things that occurs to me is that you might not get all of these phrases out of the doll without some of the add-ons. For example, we received the play center which has a slide. When the doll goes down the slide she goes 'whee'. My question is, would she say that if you don't have the special slide?!? [I leave you to ponder that.]

In any case, our doll doesn't seem stuck on any particular phrase as one reviewer said about their doll which was food obsessed. (lol)

Con's -

-- our milk carton does not work perfectly.

-- plastic shoes don't come off. Clothes don't come off.

Pro's -

-- plastic shoes don't come off. [okay, I'm lazy and don't like digging the things out from under the couch.]

-- she really does say quite a few things, and when you squeeze her hand she raises her other arm.

-- she's cute looking. [I leave the soft versus hard leg controversy alone]

Four Stars. My daughter (6) couldn't be happier at this point. I regret that the doll doesn't allow for accessory clothes. I am happy it has an 'off' switch. By the way, I highly recommend the "Play All Day Activity Center" at the reduced pr1ce.

4.0 out of 5 stars Check ALL the batteries!, June 4, 2007
= Durability:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Little Mommy Play All Day Toddler Doll (Toy)
We received this doll from "santa" and we were disappointed when we heard her talk. She sounded like she was drowning, no matter how many times we changed the batteries. Finally I was fed up after paying so much for a doll I expected her to talk clearly. I called Mattel and talked to a very friendly customer service rep. She informed me that a lot of people had the same problem and it could be easily fixed. We were changing 2 batteries every time, however there is a third battery hidden under the other 2. We were not aware of the 3rd battery and never changed it. I changed it and immediately got the doll talking clearly! Just wanted to share with everyone else who had a drowning dolly!!

3.0 out of 5 stars Not what is pictured, August 18, 2006
This review is from: Little Mommy Play All Day Toddler Doll (Toy)
The doll that is pictured has vinyl legs, but what we received was a doll with cloth legs. I was very disappointed with the doll we received in comparision to the one in the picture. Her face even looks a little different. If I had known the product had cloth legs and was not a true representation of the picture, I would not have purchased it. All other functions are fine on her, but because of the cloth legs, I do not feel she was the doll represented for sale. My daughter helped me to open the box, so I was unable to take it away from her to return it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Parents may not love it but little girls do, February 27, 2007

A Brooks (Sheboygan, WI United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Little Mommy Play All Day Toddler Doll (Toy)
I read a lot of reviews where parents were complaining about the soft legs but for my daughter this was no problem. These reviews almost deterred me from buying this for my daughter for Christmas so I thought I would add a review from my daughter's 2/3 year old point of view (if she could talk this well).
"I love my dolly. Her soft legs make her more comfortable to hold like a baby. I can still get her to sit up when I want to even though I don't do this very often without using a chair which I have no problem with.
I like to pretend this is one of my friends because it looks more like my age than my other babies. And best of all, it says 'I love you mommy' which makes me say 'Awww' and give her a big hug."
We've had this for 3 months now and I did have to change the batteries but she is still working great. We learned after a couple of weeks that if you press both hands at the same time, she sings a song which my daughter also loves.

5.0 out of 5 stars Daughter's Favorite Doll, January 19, 2007
This review is from: Little Mommy Play All Day Toddler Doll (Toy)
This is one of my 3 yr old daughter's favorite dolls. She is a massive doll lover. This doll has many phrases it says like "I love you mommy!", "Could I have some milk please!" and other stuff. It seems to be so polite and teaches good manners. You can put her to bed and if left for awhile she will automatically shut off as not to run the batteries down. Very cute.
