A cute book for young children about sharing,

I was so happy when I first found this book in my local library. I'm always looking for books with repetitive sound and/or movement to engage the preschool children I teach, and this story has both. After finding the big red apple, Little Mouse rolls it to his house, but keeps facing obstacles. Nearby animals kindly help him get the apple again, but he never thinks to share it with them, until a surprise ending makes him see that it can be fun to share with friends. It's a good story for September, not only because it talks about sharing in a lighthearted way, but also because it's about apples, which are a commmon preschool theme in September. It's one of my favorites now.
