Good primer,
This review is from: Little Network Book for Windows and Macintosh (Little Book Series) (Paperback)
All descriptions in this book (and they are countless) are straightforward and clear. It made me understand what I am getting myself in to. The only thing I found slightly annoying was the nonstandard font choice used throughout. Good choice for a how-to guide to setting up a home network.

One of the best computer books I have read. In valuable tool to home network planners. Macintosh and Windows networks described in detail. Addresses cable modems, DSL, ISDN, and conventional modems. Very current info (2000).

I bought this book; it is a well-written introduction for home-networking for a beginner.
Unfortunately it is very dated: It specifically deals with Windows 95 and 98. Since that time, there have been several versions of Windows 98, Windows ME, multiple versions of Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Vista. If you need help on a current product, this book is NOT for you.

Somehow good,
This review is from: Little Network Book for Windows and Macintosh (Little Book Series) (Paperback)
I think it is very good to give an introduction to Networking generally, It will help novice people who has no idea about network, because it is easy to read and understand. Also, I am sure that it must be available in any office has a network.
