In the comedy LITTLE NICKY, Adam Sandler plays Nicky, a heavy metal rock fan who also happens to be the son of the devil. When it is announced that his father will not give up the throne and continue to rule hell for the next 10,000 years, Nicky's evil brothers go up to Earth to steal human souls and generally create hell on earth. Now, Nicky is charged with the task of bringing both of his brothers back to hell in order to restore the balance between good and evil all over the world and to save his father from rapidly decomposing. This movie is totally halarious with alot of perverted humor thrown in for good measure and it actually helps the story move along. Also includes cameo appearences by Rodney Dangerfield, Kevin Nealon, Reese Witherspoon, Jon Lovitz, Dana Carvey, and Ozzy Osbourne. The DVD edition of this film contains special features such as the theatrical trailer for the film, a behind-the-scenes documentary on the making of the film, an excellent documentary on heavy metal music, and a halarious commentary track.

Definitely a good comedy, Little Nicky, brings to the screen the story of the devil's youngest son, who travels to Earth in search of his two older brothers who are responsible for his father's ongoing decomposition and eventual death. Things become a bit more complicated since little Nicky is not "all evil..."

Adam Sandler, Harvey Keitel, Reese Witherspoon, and the rest of the cast, have outdone themselves with their performances, which are exceptional to say the least. All the actors, without exceptions, give it their 100% and it really shows! Very well written and very well presented, the movie is without a doubt guaranteed to provide more than just a few laughs.

The setting, the plot, the dialogues, the humor, and the music are all wonderful!

In short, Little Nicky is a movie worth watching and even though it is not quite as good as the Waterboy or the Wedding Singer, it is definitely a keeper! 4˝ Stars

Little Nicky was for some reason one of my favorites from Sandler. Everyone else I knew absolutely hated this movie but I thought it was one of the funniest movies he had done. I will stress that ir's no Waterboy or Happy Gilmore but Little Nicky is still worth it.
Nicky (Sandler) is 1 of 3 sons of the Devil (Harvey Keitel) and after he tells his sons that he will rule in Hell for another 10,000 years, Nicky's other brothers Casius and Adrian become outraged and leave Hell! By them doing this, they freeze the gates of hell and make it so no souls can be taken into hell, leaving the Devil powerless and slowly weakening. It's up to Nicky to bring back his 2 brothers within a week or his father will die. As Nicky searches for his brothers, he makes new friends and also finds a special someone in Patricia Arquette.
O.k. I realize that the plot and story sound really silly now but it's really the laughs and comedy that make this movie funny. Also, there are numerous cameos and the supporting cast is very strong in this one with stars such as Rodney Dangerfield, Harvey Keitel, Patricia Arquette, Keviin Nealon, Jon Lovitz, John Witherspoon, Clint Howard, Dana Carvey, Michael McKean, Quentin Tarantino, Reese Witherspoon, Carl Weathers, many more and a very excellent cameo from TV's most popular reality dad, Ozzy Osborne.
I took off a star for a pretty dumb reason considering it has very little to do with the movie but, on the Soundtrack there are a lot of songs that are missing that should be on there like "Running With the Devil", "Highway to Hell", the acoustic version of "Everlong" and "South Town". I think the soundtrack would have been that much better if those songs were on there.
Anyway, still a great movie. If you're still unsure about it, you can always rent it first but I assure you that you would be better off just buying it because you'll keep getting laughs from this one.

I want to laugh out loud at every Adam Sandler flick, but this one just didn't do it for me. Not that it was bad. Unlike his other movies, which I would classify as "hilarious", this one only rates an "amusing". This movie gave me the impression that it was done simply for a chance to do Hitler jokes and have Sandler dabble a little with magic. It also seemed to be a big excuse to have all of Sandler's friends join him in a movie. There are actors from all of his previous films in this one. Not that that's a bad thing. I just think it could have benefited from some better writing. The jokes weren't that funny and the characters were a little annoying at times.
Enough with the bad. On to the good. The characters that inhabited this film were unique and brilliantly played. The two wannabe Satan worshippers practically made the film. I think the high point of the whole film was the scene at the end with Ozzy Osborne. It was great!
All in all, an amusing movie, but not one of Sandler's better ones. The only one that this one beats is GOING OVERBOARD (whatever you do, stay away from that one!).

This is one of the worst movies you'll ever love. Adam Sandler plays his stock character, that loveable loser that gets the girl and finally makes good, but this time with a little different twist. Here, he's the "good" son of Satan, and he's on a mission to keep his other two brothers from deposing his beloved father and taking over hell. Replete with raunchy humor, great actors/cameos (Ozzy Osbourn, Rodney Dangerfield, Henry Winkler, Rob Schneider, Reese Witherspoon, Jon Lovitz, Quentin Tarentino), and the worst speech impediment you'll ever hear, "Little Nicky" should keep you laughing for most of the film. There are, of course, glaringly unfunny moments, but overall it is surprisingly entertaining. I put off watching this one for quite awhile because it just looked so awful, but I was very pleasantly surprised. Fans of Adam Sandler should love it, and those who appreciate some low-brow politically incorrect humor will find lots here to enjoy.
