Missing nostalgia..,
By LowM@n (at home) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Little Nicky (2000 Film) (Audio CD)
Well, to start off..this album is not bad. Really. I saw the movie and not only the movie was funny, the music wqas also great (with all do respect: it didn't gave me R&B shivers down my spine while watching Romeo Must Die) and featured some pretty good songs, but also some great songs from the past... for example: Van Halen's Running With The Devil (in the beginning of the movie), AC/DC's Highway To Hell (the outro), a song from Lit *I forgot the name* while flying with his girl, Foo Fighter's Everlong during the floating part and Ozzy Osbourne even doing a cameo in the movie. But wait!!? Those songs aren't on the album..and that's a (big) downside for me. It's disappointing to see those big songs and artists missing on the sound track.. But, now the good things: the music is that's on the disc is allright. Twice the Deftones, always good. The new band Linkin Park (with Points of Authority from their recent album Hybrid Theory *nice album!*), the hit single (Rock) Superstar from Cypress Hill, and of course P.O.D. If you like both metal and rock, this is a nice one for you.

Hey its a good album. Damn good , but for the life of me cant figure out where half of the songs are. during the movie there is a scene where Nikky is climbing a ladder to see a girl. Ok there you hear the almighty foo fighters doing an acustic Everlong.. sexellent version by the way.. but where the hell is this song? how can i get my hands on this version? Highway to hell? also not on the soundtrack.. left me real confused!

That elusive acoustic Foo's track,

So there I was watching a film redeemed only by it's superb soundtrack, Adam Sandler was climbing a ladder to the window of some girl, when I heard a riff that sounded extremely familiar, but also slightly different, "Hey that's Everlong by the Foo Fighters, acoustic. I totally have to buy that soundtrack!" But when I finally found the soundtrack, guess what, NO FOOS! DAMMIT! Otherwise it's pretty good.

Bearly missed the spot...,

This was an unbelieveable soundtrack, but I'm a little disappointed that some of the other tracks from the movie didn't make it. Some of the older rock was good, plus Lit and others could've made this soundtrack even better (if that's possible)

The song that plays when Nicky is on the fire escape to get to Veronica but bumps into clint howard in women's clothes is called Two of Hearts by Stacey Q. Big hit in the 80s I suppose.

Great CD, But Missing Some Songs,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Little Nicky (2000 Film) (Audio CD)
I bought this soundtrack after seeing the movie Little Nicky a bunch of times, and I thought to myself that it seemed like some songs were missing. After checking on the Internet, I found out that I was right! A bunch of great rock songs from the past (like "Running With The Devil" and "Highway to H*ll") were in the movie, but not on the soundtrack! Also, there are a couple of recent songs from the movie that aren't on the CD either. But, I do like this CD. Linkin Park's "Points of Authority", POD's "School of Hard Knocks" and Cypress Hill's "(Rock) Superstar" are my favorite songs. I also like "Cave" by Muse, "When Worlds Collide" by Powerman 5000 and "Pardon Me" by Incubus are really good. All in all, I recommend this CD to people who like rock/metal and the movie Little Nicky.

Missing songs,
This review is from: Little Nicky (2000 Film) (Audio CD)
I've bought these CD. Great stuff. Unfortunately there are some songs from the movie which are not on the CD. When Little Nicky is climbing up the ladder to see his girl he's looking inside a dorm seeing that crazy guy wearing woman's clothes. In the background you hear that song I'm looking for. What's the name of these song?

Amazing Compilation,
By Nomine (Canada) - See all my reviews

Here is a compilation full of wellknowns and a few unknowns. Most people (like one of the featured reviews mentions) are unaware of the British rock band Muse who contributes their track "Cave" at #10 on this cd. The track is off their 1999 album "Showbiz" which is a musthave for any rock fan. all in all, its an amazing cd!

You know if the peolple are going to make a soundtrack then they should include all the songs that had a part in it like Van Halens song (Running with the Devil) and Ozzy's two songs (No More Tears) and (Mama.I'm Coming Home)But other than that it is Ok if you don't care for those people

A good compilation.,

This is definitely a good album. I haven't seen the movie, so I cannot make the same remarks that others have made regarding the absence of songs that were in the movie. However the songs that are on here are very good. I had heard most of the songs before I purchased the album, and knew I liked those. All but 2 or 3 songs are good, which is pretty rare in an album these days. If you like music that rocks without being obnoxious, get this CD and you won't be disappointed. I was especially impressed with Linkin Park's track ''Points of Authority,'' and have since purchased their debut album (which happens to be one of the best albums I have heard this year). Enjoy.
