Classic style,

I read this book twice. The first time it seemed a lovely story with vivid characters, and I saw myself reading it to my grandkids. The second time I read it for myself, to understand the story deep within the book and the messages. I equate this book with Charlotte's Web and The Velveteen Rabbit for its appeal to all ages.

The message of this book is timely and timeless. Set as a fantasy it has layers of meaning about life and love that will appeal to the child in all readers. It is as delightful for me as it is for my grandson.

I liked this book very much. My favorite pages were 62 and 63. Very thoughtful and special message there for all. The prayer Little One prayed is one to remember. Very lovely and refreshing - a nice break from reality. Thanks to Ann Marquette for giving us this book. I think both children and adults can appreciate it.

I could not put the book down! I have purchased the book for my grandchildren for Christmas and believe that they will find it a joy to read. Ms. Marquette makes the characters come alive with her vivid descriptions of them and their actions. I look forward to her next follow-up effort!!

The Little One makes a big impression...,

I read a book a week throughout the year. I mainly do this to keep somewhat sane as reading relaxes me by taking me away from the everyday madness (and usually into someone else's madness!) This book REALLY takes you away...an incredibly descriptive story that will make you re-think the relationships you have with family and friends.

Since "Little One End of Journey Alone" by Ann Marquette this isn't the type of book I generally read, I had problems trying to figure out what the age group Ms Marquette was shooting for. I feel the content of the story is best suited for younger readers. It is obvious that Ms Marquette has a talent for getting her reader to see what she's writing in vivid detail, I felt that some of the words and sentences were too difficult for a child younger than 7 or 8. If a parent were to read "Little One End of Journey Alone" to their child, the child would throughly enjoy the story."Little One End of Journey Alone" is a wonderful story. Author Ann Marquette does an excellent job of painting an exquisite picture with her words. You can actually "see" the glass vase, the white rose and all the colorful tulips. She tells a touching story. I hope this is the first of many books about Little One and L'Uni. Ms. Marquette has left it open for more adventures of Little One and I look forward to each and every one!

I am an avid reader and just completed the reading of the Journey of Little One and was pulled into the story like no other. I thought that it was a great read. Ann Marquette has a great imagination and will go far with her writing. I can't wait to see where Little One's journey will take us all in the next book.
